This thread has died off. I'm heading back to MDE next week. I was considering getting a room at the mansion for one night just to see what they have available during the day. I know they've had some issues the last few months but I'm hearing a lot of turnover in the girls and things may have improved. Any recent intel from boots on the ground?

I just spent 8 nights at the mansion, May 5-13 & had a great time. It was actually better chica wise than my last visit in September when the numbers were down. Most days a chica or 2 would show up at the pool before noon & more would filter in thru the day usually ending up with 8-10 around by 3 pm, 1/2 by the pool, 1/2 on the couches inside. Not the best talent but usually there were a few desirables I made dates with or immediately boned. The dead time there is usually 6-8 pm as most of the daytimers take off & the night party girls come in after 8 to hang in the bar. By 10 pm, usually about 20 or so are in the bar. The #'s are def in our favor as usually 5-8 guys were in the bar even though the house was full most nights, 14 rooms. A few other guys would come in & pay the 50 k cover. The lineups had def turned over since Sept. As I saw few familiar faces. Many chicas don't return as there are almost always too many girls & very few guys. Only 1 slow night when I was there, Monday, 8-10 chicas only, but I left with a cute date. I mixed in my mansion dates with 1 casa trip to centro & 3 FB chicas. Had some nice dinners at the milla de oro, Oviedo area. A couple trips to parque Lleras / provenza area rounded out our adventures. The usd goes a loooong way in Colombia, I left the country with great memories, a big smile & just booked a return in September! Medellin es una Chimba!

You probably already know this. But for the benefit of others, the girls all now each other, some crazy network. I've asked a girl to look for the kind of girl I want, offer her $50 k COP ($10 USD) if she finds me what I want. Next thing I know she's furiously texting and showing me pics, and when I like one, I give her the money and WhatsApp that girl and can literally have my pick over in 1-2 hours.

Why wouldn't they do this? It's an easy 50 k for her. I’ve had girls do this, but I really prefer to see a girl in person before committing.

I wouldn't argue. I was last there in December before Christmas. While most of the chicas weren't that desirable, I usually was able to find one I liked. And never paid more than 250 mil. I did go out a couple times when there was nothing good on site, once to Gustos and once to Centro casas.

The crazy prices you see quoted are just that. Crazy. Anyone that's been in this hobby long enough knows better.

Which is a pity, because the girls there only charge $200-250 vs. Those crazy prices you see quoted in the main Medellin reports thread. It is currently a very slow time there and any guy staying there as his pick of the litter without any price haggling. Two hot very grateful and fun girls for $400,000 COP (think $80-90 USD) in your room for a couple hours (not looking at the clock) us hard to beat.

I like the Mansion, but the afternoon chicas are generally a pretty sad lot. Once in a while you'll see a good one show up, but it's more miss than hit.

Good advice. I frequented the mansion many times. I think Fridays and Saturdays are the best with the daytime talent. A day there is not high on my priority list. It's just gone downhill a bit the last 6 months or so. It'd be higher on my list if it would return to the prior state. It was a good setup, at least for my style.

The mansion definitely has cycle of availability of girls. Sunday / Monday / Tuesday are a little slower and it ramps up to the weekend. So if your only going for one day, do it later in the week.

New announcement, wonder what really happened, I would hope if anyone paid for party will get a refund! Now only hotel guests aloud, wounded if it's every night now even in so called club! Hmmmm.

Do you think you will need to be a gust for all future parties? I am on their mailing list. Like to stay elsewhere but like to attend their parties.

My wife and I will be returning for our third (fourth for me) visit to the mansion end of March. In defense of the mansion, it really has been for a us a nice, relaxed, social, safe, and comfortable base of operations. We considered an AirBnb, but the costs after cleaning fees and related comes rather close to the mansion costs; and breakfast is not included. But we really enjoy the social environment of the mansion (guys and girls) and it really makes it a more relaxed experience; while staying somewhere right in the heart of all the shopping and restaurants we love (mostly the restaurants we are real foodie types).

Sometimes it is hit or miss for girls (and frustrating when a favorite girl is 'banned' for reasons unknown), but it's always a new adventure. We learned that some of the more mature girls make excellent tour guides too; so it isn't all indoor play. The guys we meet also make great company for checking out places at night; tips for where to eat or visit; and helping keep things safe and smart. We wish the pool was closed off and heated, but those are minor quibbles compared to the overall environment and company. Robert is a unique character, and his birthday part last year was amazing; sorry we will miss it this year.

BTW, folks should be aware that mid-January this year they did increase their room prices (they took down the posted prices on their web site and now mail out a higher-rate table). It's still very reasonable (compared to AirBnB rates) and the value of what they offer still makes it worth it for us.

Greg was at the Halloween Party and it was weird because he was really friendly which I'd never seen from him before. He was telling staff to clean up here and there and they jumped to it so I assumed then that he was still a boss there. But that was three months ago so who knows if he has sold his stake since then.

He is a tough Aussie but right underneath all that is an honest, friendly, and compassionate person.
