Just came across a Germann Bankwebsite, credible looking.
2 things got my attention.
The " export " of ariary bils is limited to the maximum of 400 K. I was just below. LOL.
Money-changer need a licence, authorization. Next to the mentioned obstacles in the Street, they can act just as a bite.
Perhaps some " senior " can clarify the subject.

Posts: 5Ambatoloaka, Nosy Be: Zeburger Restaurant
Of the places I've visited in Ambatoloaka, I'd like to highlight Restaurant Zeburger: Great atmosphere, excellent location, right across from Taxi Be. I think back to the food with mixed feelings: on the one hand it looked very tasty, the portions were large. On the other hand, the big crabs weren't done well, which meant that I had to vomit for a few days.
As a friend of the shisha, I. E. The water pipe, I was happy that a shisha was also offered in this restaurant. Of course I ordered a shisha. Unfortunately, I have to say that this was the worst shisha I've ever smoked, both in terms of design and quality of tobacco.
Finally, I have a question for those who know the scene. Because I don't speak French, I've reached my clear limits here. I had the feeling that in this restaurant almost every guest had his personal service. My very pretty waitress took very good care of me. I asked myself: What is the purpose of these girls? Should they only serve? Are they there to keep customers loyal to the restaurant? Could I have asked her to come to the hotel with me? And when would that have been possible: Late in the night, after work?

In fall I was in Ambatoloaka, among other places. I was looking for a cheap hotel and therefore I chose Hotel Ambatoloaka on the internet.
The hotel was simply but modernly furnished. When there wasn't a power outage, the room was brightly lit. That's what I want. A particular highlight was a window through which you could look into the shower area from the bed and watch the girl showering. I liked that! The party area (Taxi Be etc.) was within walking distance from the hotel. You could also walk the few hundred meters without worrying about your own safety. This is worth mentioning in Madagascar!
I found the service to be problematic: although the room was supposed to be cleaned every day, it didn't happen. Also a repeated request at the front desk was not successful. This was particularly annoying because I definitely needed fresh, dry towels. Especially for my female guests.
Breakfast (which would have cost extra anyway) I didn't try in the hotel. I preferred to walk a few meters downhill and have either dined with a view of the sea.
Taking girls to the room didn't cause any problems as long as they could prove their age based on their ID.
A negative point was the location: the hotel is not located to the beach. The little walk to the beach in swimwear was too far for me, and I didn't want to leave my clothes somewhere on the beach because I saw the danger of being robbed. So it was difficult to organize to swim (Or does anybody have an idea to organize that without any problems? Next time I will spend a little more and book a hotel right on the beach.

Posts: 151There is an exchange office in second floor of Glaciers. You may try that one. Not sure but some banks might give a bit better rate if you are willing to wait 1 hour queue! Don't bring 10,20 euro bills. Just 50 or 100 euro bills. Rate is worse for smaller bills!.

Posts: 151Why would anyone ask this here? I wouldn't advise to change any big amount of money with them. Maybe 10, 20, 50 euro ok? I would not do it for any large amount.

Good an healthy for a few Dollars / Eros?
Food is in Mada in general compared to pussy relativ expensiv and not very healthy. Good and healthy means in Mada, it does not make you sick in the second place and first it makes you full.
For 20 K you get a Breakfast, that's often not what I call a breakfast and that's a few Dollars to me.
Colbert, LE Loufre etc. May do offer what you looking for but not for what I call a few Dollars.
In general you may find not what you here asking for in Mada? I am so sorry.
