I'm heading to Medellin next week. I've been there before but had never used SA (seeking arrangement) there.

I am already in contact with a bunch of really hot chicks, but I have not talked money with anyone yet, I just have been filtering out pros because I'm looking for the civilian type.

For Claro: Those SMALL shops you see with a Claro sign are NOT official company stores. In the above example, if that person worked at that small store, he probably was not a official company employee. Those small stores might have official pay stations, but the phones and services that are there are not official.

The official Claro stores are huge and modern. Many employees, and they wear matching shirts. The store has all the new, modern phones. It should be obvious.

In the Bogota Andino Mall, I go the official company Claro store on the 2nd floor, and I give them a copy of my passport and ask for a SIM. Then they go to their computer, and they register it.

I was scammed once in Bogota. The small store had a Claro sign. It even had a Claro pay station, where the locals pay their bills. But the phone store that was part of that was not an official Claro store. From hindsight, it was obvious. The 2 people there wore different shirts with a Claro label. Didn't have the latest models. They had used phones for sale; I think this is the key giveaway. Official company owned Claro stores DO NOT SELL used phones. Store looked like a local phone store. The guy pretended to be a Claro employee. Should have seen thru his BS.

I only have Facebook on my computer. Is there a way to use the app on my phone without it connecting my profile to all my contacts? Otherwise, to be safe, I think I'll just keep using it only on my computer. Thanks.

Open FB in incognito mode or private mode on the browser you use. Use m. faceboob.com unfortunately it will not allow you to use messenger. In order to use messenger if using an android phone press the 3 dots top right of the screen and click the box desktop site. Everything will be very small but you can zoom in and manage with difficulty.

It is difficult and demanding work to maintain separate identities on facebook. The spyware and cookies are highly persistent and well hidden. Little by little, aided by our own inadvertent clicks on ads or "people you know" facebook merges accounts you control into a single behind the scenes backdoor into your contacts (including contacts who have never visited facebook or had a facebook account) and web activity until you begin to see the same ads, invitations, and invites across all your accounts. You have been warned.

If you're worried about keeping your Facebook accounts completely separate (and you should be), there's only one way to do it.

Get a new, unlocked, prepaid phone. Register it in a different name. Use that phone only to access your alternate Facebook. Do not put anything on the phone that connects to any of your main accounts. Don't use any face pictures. Do not add any friends who are friends on your main account.

I wish we could obtain a list of official stores where one can register the sims. So far I have used movistar and claro stores in Unicentro. Both did NOT register the sims leading to my phones being blocked.

I'm about to make a new random alias facebook profile. I didn't realize facebook and seeking were so popular. When I went to cartagena I just used tinder for the most part and that worked out sorta well.

For facebook are you just searching prepago facebook groups or are you just searching people within medellin?

Also so many reports now about how all the girls are being rated 6/10 and below at most of the establishments. Makes me feel like I should just go back to cartagena instead of visitng Medellin for the first time.

It does work 1 thousand dollars could pay the rent for quite a few months. I've done it with my girlfriend and I put her in beauty school in El Centro. She's working in the salon now. Everybody missed the point of what I said they thought I was telling him to be a Simp and throw money around. I'm just saying the narrative here is saving nine dollars for a taxi coming back from the airport taking two different buses and taking advantage of young girls because you think they are working girls and they need to be treated like that. Just give them the $75. I understand you want to think that they are with you because they like you that's fine get them there for that purpose, but give them the money anyway. I've been living here for 12 years so there's not too many people they were going to tell me how to run my life. And I'm not telling you how to spend your money but don't take advantage of these girls. Just because you can! Does anybody agree with that?

I'll explain. Your girlfriend, if you found her in the US would cost you $5,000 per month or more, assuming she's young and hot. However, your dollars buy a lot more in Colombia. It's the main reason all of us come here. In Colombia, even if we're giving each girl an extra $10, $20 or even $50 each time we're taking advantage of their economic situation to get much more at a price we can afford.

I don't save money by taking the bus from the airport. I usually rent a car (which I drove for 14 hours today). $1,000 has never changed my girlfriend's life. At best it would cover her rent for 3 months, not counting utilities. Sending most of the girls to cosmetic school wouldn't exactly change their lives. Ask her how many friends, relatives and neighbors did the same thing. You've given her the skills necessary to remain at a poverty level income for the rest of her life. Why do you think so many of the Facebook girls are also working in salons?

It is an agency of the government of Colombia that locks phones that have not been properly registered in the country. The lock only applies when you are in Colombia, but to all the carriers there. And it is based on the phone itself, not any particular SIM (the IMEI). You have a couple of weeks or more to complete the registration, but if you do not register is by their deadline your phone will be blocked even if you have already left the country. In other words, you might have only been there for a week, but they send out a text message and if you do not respond the phone gets blocked anyway, which you find out the next time you visit the country and try to get a SIM from anyone.

And the resellers of SIMS might be perfectly good people, and that would be fine if your phone was already legally in the country, but until it is registered as a legal phone in the country by going through the process of registering it, you can buy SIM cards from whoever you want and they will not work once you have been blocked.

This is exactly what my understanding and experience is, so far at least. Buying sim from a company owned store is not enough, one has to ask them to register the sim against your passport.

This is for Claro.

You need to go to an OFFICIAL Claro company store, such as the one inside the Andino Mall. You need your passport (or a copy), and the salesperson will register your passport with the SIM on their computer. Then you go to the cashier and pay for a package. It is then official.

Warning: if you go to an unofficial store or corner kiosk, and if you buy and use a SIM, it is not official. I had a bad experience once. I mistakenly thought a phone store was an official Claro office. The MFer salesperson lied to me; he BSed something like that the passports were invalid. He wanted to sell me his phones for sale with a preloaded SIM. I'm assuming it would have worked since he would have made a profit on the phone. I mistakenly bought a SIM from him (of course I was overcharged). I loaded it, but only Social Media worked. No minutes or data. I was told by Claro that the SIM was "unauthorized". Be careful if you go to an unofficial store.

It seems the SIM has to be registered to someone. Either your passport at the official Claro store, or a SIM from the street that is registered to a local; but that can be dangerous since that person can cancel / change.

Some people here are reporting that their phones gets locked when using an unauthorized SIM. Don't really understand that. Of course the phone company (such as Claro) can lock you out of their system, but can they lock your phone with ALL phone carriers, including inside the US? Don't know.

Either register your SIM legally, or get the SIM from a person you can trust 100%.

Note: you can get a legal SIM when you exit El Dorado Airport baggage area; it's right in front. But price is more than triple for maybe one third the data. It is priced in US dollars, so obviously it's a rip-off. But it might be worth the convenience for some.

Spent few days in city of eternal spring in early Aug. Well, the city of spring was baking this time with daily temps above 30 degrees Celsius every day. New Life lineup was not so great (as usual), may be about 12-15 girls with just 2 worth 2nd looks. Zandalay was hopeless although they had about 8-10 girls. Sexy Amigas was much better but not as good as last year. About 8 girls, half were doable. Centro scene was decent as well, did not partake but found at least 2/3 girls that would meet my standard each time I visited. Parque Lieras was a bit down as well, the number of girls on Sat night was about 25-30 around 10 pm, however I did not see one girl that I would like to spend my time or money on. 65 for media hora at sexy amigas, 60 at new life plus some girls wanted 40 COPs for BBBJ and experencia novia which is double of what they wanted last year. The service quality was Okaish mostly except for one rotten apple at sexy amigas (daniella or stephenia?) who wanted to wrap up iin10 minutes and did not want to remove bra because she had some issue with her breasts. Not sure why the eff was she still working then. Avoid this woman.

Facebook chicas don't want less than 300 K now. Didn't try prepagos but I am thinking I need to increase the scope now. Medellin is becoming more expensive steadily and clearly, this was a damn expensive trip due to that stupid flower festival. And quality has slid in past 6 months.

A question for the experienced guys. Do you think there are better chances of finding some English speaking girls on seeking or facebook or among prepagos as compared to casas, centro and Parque Lieras?

How many girls you have helped and how many you have fucked. That percentage will tell the whole story. No one is saying not to help in the right situation. What most are saying is that don't be taken advantage of and do it blindly.

You are talking about hookers. How are you exploiting them? You are not coaxing them into selling ass. They are putting out a product. They are not going to sell it to you for any less than they are going to sell it to you. Best of all there is no need to try to impress them by playing big spender.

When I go to McDonald's I am not concerned about what McDonald's likes. I am going there to spend money on what I like, not trying to impress or make them happy. Of course a hooker wants to come back and see you, the same as you want to go back and see your job tomorrow to get more money. Is your boss bragging about you as an employee do not want to work for a cheap company or that he takes no joy in expoliting you? No. It is come to work and get paid what we are paying or find somewhere else to work.

Just like in Thailand, it costs a Thai $1. 10 to go to a national park. It costs foreigners 5 times as much. Should foreigners be happy to pay 5 times as much because it will change Thailand or are foreigners being taken advantage of? I for one prefer to pay according to how much something costs without the price being adjusted for how much I may have or what I may be worth.
