Check this link out guys. A recent ruling (last month) by Kerala high court says customers in a brothel like set up (which will include Spas) can be charged under ITP act. And this will involve rigorous imprisonment of minimum 7 years. It's scary as fuck. To the best of my knowledge, only pimps / handlers used to get charged under this provision, but this ruling gives police the power to entrap customers too.

Ok, that's bad. Wouldn't our only defence then be to deny engaging in any kind of sexual activity? I mean if you weren't caught in the act with your pants down how would they prove that we did. We could just be an innocent customer who unknowingly walked into this establishment without knowing its true purpose. Better to keep a lawyer ready just in case.

Look bro. No one is interested to run cases. Max one or two people get prosecuted. The low ranks use this to just extract some cash if they get one on the phone, with credible info, for example. If you are a regular with membership and deposit there. Rest they may call just to satisfy the senior officers orders. They get somthing bigger they leave this. So in short nothing to worry unless you are caught at location. Having said that such places. Always better not to leave traceable numbers, digital finger prints etc. (cards transactions).

Can someone who has some knowledge address the below query.

Spas like Nirvan* are relatively huge and hitech spas.

They obviously pay significant amounts to LE to run their business.

I am confused why and how Nirvan* was raided.

It is ok if some small spas got raided but Nirvan* got raided, and this is where I am confused like hell.

Can someone provide some insight on this so that it can help in selecting right spas.

If the top Nirvan* got raided, then there is no safety in any other spa in my opinion.

Don't give this shit who's bothered about the people visiting the place. The people going there know the worth of that place and pay. That's where the transaction begins and ends for an individual. The people running the place would have reduced the amount of payment for the cops as a good number of international spas have come up around Bangalore. The cops never work for the salary, they work for the commission they get from illegal businesses . I think most people reading this post do agree.

This happened several months back however thought of sharing the experience with fellow mongers.

This spa is in JP Nagar above the Pot Biryani takeaway place. At that time it was recently taken over by a new management and with new staff.

I thought things would have gotten better and went in for a 90 minute massage for back pain.

Half-way through the session the receptionist (a young guy) knocked the door and said they are closing the spa immediately due to some issue. I had to wear my cloths super fast and had no time to weaer my shoes and literally ran out with holding them in my hands. Wore them just outside the building and ran 100-200 mtrs away from the spa. Took inside road to JP Nagar residential area. Calmed down and drank some water.

I realized what had happened. It was a lucky escape.

This spa with earlier management and different name had faced issues with LE, local goons, and local TV channels. It looks like this place is jinxed and change in name or management won't make difference. Please do avoid this place.

I could imagine the adrenaline rush which you might have experienced while running. Great escape bro otherwise imagine getting caught and becoming a famous person. Raids are going on across Bangalore on spas. I think it is a bi-annual formality the LEs perform in Bangalore.

As per the new articles they have detained customers as well which is scary. I once faced similar situation long back in GB road Delhi in my staring days of mongering I was staying full night and around 2 am cops came there for raid. The Den staff opened some back doors and asked all mongers like us to go and hide inside. We stayed for approx one hour and once everything settled ran away from that place and never visited that place again.

Customers have to pay a heavy price to get out of such a messy situation if ever been caught during the raid. Avoid these spas for a while guys. Next in line are MTD, Ghogi, splash spa etc. Stay safe.

It's always the women getting "rescued" and the owners getting arrested. Are customers safe from LE during such raids?

It actually is funny how they say these women were rescued. Rescued from employment? Maybe some of them were coerced into being a sex worker who knows. Either way it seems like the women and the customers are relatively safe from any legal consequences. I will be hunting indies for now. Safest option right now legally speaking.

The manager has been taken in. But I don't think they can touch the real ownership. My source in LE said they hve taken the database and the city head of L e has asked to verify numbers and transactions. They have numbers as much as 2 K so it's going to take some time. Hopefully they will loose the interest by the time they get to first 100.

In any case it's better to stay off the cold front for some time.
