I think some historical perspective will help walk some of us back off the edge of the roof. We can all calm down and consider these points. Neither the Mayor nor the measures he decreed are new. FICO was mayor during the four years before the pandemic when Quintero took over in 2020. Both FICO and Quintero have mounted media campaigns in response to outrage when the honky tonk scene in Poblado has become offensive. As for pricing going down in Centro, I haven't noticed them going up in any significant way. Overall compared to FICO's first term (2016 to 2020) the cost of about 40 K (30 K girl + 8 k to 10 K hotel) now averages about 50 K (40 K girl + 8 K to 10 K hotel). Even though Lleras / Provenza / la 10 is a mostly nighttime scene, I think it's likely some of the providers will be squeezed back to daytime shifts in Centro because the competition will increase with fewer tourists and fewer hours in Poblado. I never believed there were many girls splitting time between Poblado and Centro until they began mentioning it to me and until my curiosity got the better of me and I watched a couple of youtube videos. Sure enough, there they were in Parque Lleras.

I don't think anyone needs to worry about Centro. Not even the pandemic could shut it down. Of course it slowed things down quite a bit but take it from me, the hotels and girls were in operation throughout. So this guy who is now being pursued under international pressure is the latest poster boy for the red line of punter behavior. The Mayor had to take action after his political enemies began to use the public outrage against him. He will be another Colombia Jake. His life is ruined now that he has been doxxed in the international press. I'm with Miamiboy on the subject of not missing all night red light district antics in Poblado. That is the endgame for any scene that is marked by flashing lights, blaring music, and international scrutiny.

The mayoral decrees have immediate legal effect but practical considerations mean you may not notice anything for a week or more. Note that prostitution remains legal because it has constitutional protection. I reckon the change for Lleras aficionados will be you will no longer have to wait until 4 am to scoop up bargains. You can start that hunt around midnight soon.

When does this take effect? From what I read, my understanding is prostitution can still occur in parque lleras, but not after 1 am.

Hopefully the scopolamine gangs and other nefarious groups don't follow them. They're going to be looking for a new home and pockets. Hopefully they go back to Cartagena. But of course if the typical deep wallets and heavy spenders of Parque Lleras move in any typical el Centro rat can get caught up in this El Poblado Lleras park shit.

This is wrong and you don't know the half of it. I can't take it you guys aren't being honest. I know a police officer in Medellin and he says they don't even report 1/20th of all the pedos getting caught. They are even setting up sting-like operations for people who use facebook now. The spot has been blown up. But guess what, passport bros will barely cancel any trip because they and all their 62-year-old white guy twice-divorced counterparts think they KNOW how to move better than everybody else. Idiots reading this post right now are thinking "awesome people are leaving so I'll be the only guy in a sea of women". It brings the "It will never happen to ME, I'll be extra careful" attitude until you find yourself talking to 3 police officers in your overpriced AirBnb with a girl who told you she was 18 but only to find out she just turned 17 and you are going to jail and your name is being published all over the news in the US. This place is bad right now, foreigners get robbed and drugged every day some having their entire life-savings wiped, and prices will go UP not down because Paisa culture is greedy! They don't think about getting more clients with less expensive rates, they are too selfish and dumb for that. They will raise prices to compensate. I've lived here for 7 years and I have never seen locals so furious. They are reporting gringos to the police now left and right. In my building, they've called the police on visitors 3 times in the last month. Locals are having neighborhood meetings about gringos, pedos and gentrification. And all of this happened because YouTubers convinced the whole world that Medellin is the only city in the world with beautiful women and good prices. I plan on traveling to a few of my other favorite cities OUTSIDE of Colombia (I'm not going to say where because you clowns will blow up the spot) where I can monger in peace and I'm moving out of the city by July. It is just too much, drugging, killings, and now the Mayor hiring an ENTIRE task force to catch gringos. No way man. The writing is on the wall. If they were to all go flood Centro then that would mean there would be more supply in El Centro as the girls from El Poblado return to work the Botero area.

They appear to be legitimate ladies with a history of posts and numerous photos. Usually, I may get one request a week and most are from people who just created a Facebook profile.

That's great news! Sick and tired of the shit show around Lleras. The park used to be a great place to hang out, look at it now, so disgusting. Centro hoes should stay in Centro where they belong.

I actually agree. I'm tired of this pussy drain in which the Centro hoes are going to Poblado and inflating their prices. There was this dude on here InsolentSpike that was trying to hook me up with one of his chicas named Alejandra who was a 50 mil Centro girl and she was trying to say she charged 250 mil and only worked in Poblado (needless to say I told the bi*ch to kick rocks). Less supply means higher prices I would think. They certainly will not all move to centro. And the ones that do will likely still want Poblado prices.

If they were to all go flood Centro then that would mean there would be more supply in El Centro as the girls from El Poblado return to work the Botero area. More Supply would mean lower prices. And if they are out there asking the same 250 mil or more then they wouldn't get any customers because the girls to the left and right of them will still be taking 40 mil or 50 mil. Also there are not as many foreigner mongers in Botero I'd say 95% of the clients are locals and only 5% are foreign and the locals aren't going to be paying 250 mil.

This should result in lower prices and more girls in El Centro.

The only way the Poblado girls will be able to continue to charge their bullshit prices will be if they go to seeking or other online venues or maybe in some of the clubs or Casas and that is if they can even get in. They may just end up going to some other city.
