Petro has claimed the health care system is bankrupt; it is nothing more than corruption. I know a nurse who has not been paid by the clinic she works at in more than 3 months. They went on strike for a day, but still have not received their back due pay. All but one of my friends want to get out. And the one who doesn't one to leave Colombia happens to be living in Europe at the moment; she hasn't seen her homeland in almost 12 months.
Obsessed retard John Poulos gets 42 years for killing Valentina Trespalacios, and Jesse Wiseman is still on the run.

BBVA is projecting the peso at 4300 next year.
I was pretty shocked to see Colombia at a much higher risk of default than Peru and even slightly higher than Brazil.
4300 sounds about right if there is no recession. I think we go back to 5000 or higher if the USA hits recession as people pile into the dollar like they did with Covid. As for why there will be one, this guy lays out the case for a USA recession.

In general, data is weakening across the board. Real disposable income has been negative in two of the last there months.
The BEA mage a large negative revision to GDP and GDI.
Consumer spending took a dive in April and I expect it will stick this time.
Terrible reports from Target and Walmart on discretionary consumer spending.
There have been numerous negative revisions in most of the recent hard data.
Job openings are plunging.
The GDPNow forecast is plunging fast.
I finally expect rent to break the string of 32 consecutive months of rising at least 0. 4 percent.
The July meeting is nearly two months away, on July 31. There is plenty of time for further economic weakening and that is what I expect.
There is no meeting in August. If the Fed is at all concerned about slowing, but not wanting to risk being too late (not that it will matter, but that is how the Fed thinks), the Fed will find a reason for a July cut.
And usually you see a recession when you see people saying the stupidest shit going. Remember the liar loans right before the 2008 recession where it was cool to loan someone making minimum wage a million bucks to buy a house because housing never goes down?
Well, this was some of the stupidest shit I have read, and it was today, https://www.wsj.com/economy/american...efore-84b7a6c6.
Taken together, recent stock gains and bond income have put Hernandez in a better position to achieve his goals of retiring early and helping his two boys buy future homes.
"I'm not going to die and take the money with me," he said.
The income flowing to Americans such as Hernandez has sparked debate among some analysts as to whether higher interest rates might actually be stimulating the economy. End of link.
The USA is now paying $1. 2 trillion annually on interest on the debt. Over the last 10 years, that was $300 or $400 billion. And there are economists debating if that could be a good thing? That is some pretty fucking stupid shit.
Back to the article. Instead, hype around artificial intelligence has helped push major stock indexes near records by boosting shares in tech companies, chip makers and even utilities. End of link.
Yeah, that is what is keeping everything going, the hype of AI. The good part is on the hardware side where Nvidia has been selling enough of the chips to keep the AI hype going, but it is up to the software people to take those chips and do something useful with them. If you look at Microsoft and Google, there are extraordinary AI expected gains priced in their stocks right now. If they fall short, the market is done.
So the USA market has priced in the kid of productive gains for AI seen with the internet or railroads, but I have not seen anything affecting my life from AI yet. It was cute and cool to play with it, but that has been all so far. It is weird to say that the Colombian exchange rate comes down to if the hype of AI is met, but I believe it does.

Not sure why it's important to follow along, or follow a YouTube provider who apparently can't handle simple math.
