Your categories don't really work. If you go in the high end places you will see that there are many locals there as well. All of these types of places have a mix. And the locals pay the same prices. Generally. Regulars may find lower price options. I don't know.

But you go to the streets in Centro, go to the strip clubs that locals go to, and your prices will not be a lot different. Depends a bit on you, and how observant you are about what locals are doing and paying. And perhaps your comfort in Spanish and in negotiating.

Go to the casas. Prices are sometimes printed on a laminated page pinned up in the room or somewhere. You're getting the same deal as the locals. No problem.

I ended up with a non-tourist package with almost no restrictions from my perspective for a few hours at a lower price.

A very nice summary of the paisa perspective. Well said. 95% of the girls I meet are super sweet, kind, soft spoken and loving. With what little they have, they take good care of themselves, dress and smell good. I treat them like a GF and feed them, give massages, talk to them, give advice, listen to them in their endearing paisa accent and form great memories. I, of course, party with them too. We go to places like Thailand and Columbia to use arbitrage and pay poorer girls for their service.

There is no need to hide from that truth. As long as we pay a fair wage and treat the girls nicely, there is nothing wrong this. Sex work shouldn't be looked down upon, least of all by the johns, and we should all expect a level of respect from the girls and vice versa.

Facebook is not tourist prices. It's going to depend how you use Facebook I suppose but I have gotten many off of Facebook in the 100 k to 150 k range over the past few years. Have them meet you at a location in Centro and go to a 3 hour hotel.

Also the Botero plaza area and Veracruz Church prices around 40 k to 50 k is another place to find local prices.

Just avoid el Poblado and parque Lleras. That is for sure the tourist pricing as well as the stupid clubs like Gustos, la Isla, Loutron, and all those kind of places.

If you want club atmosphere with local prices I'd suggest the clubs around Centro like ejecutiva grill and conejos.

As for casas (brothels) I believe New Life has been mentioned to charge decent rates or was it Energy I do t remember since I don't use those places but just RTFF and you will find where to go for local pricing.

There are at least 2 market places that members here use -.

Local market. Those that pay the regular high street prices (think of it as shopping at the places that local people shop at), and.

Tourist market. Those that pay tourist prices (think of it as shopping at a mall which is only open to tourists and that charges 4 times the local price).

Facebook, La Isla, Fase 2, Loutron, Insta, Desperately Seeking are all part of the tourist market. Vendors here will charge what they can, I. E. What the tourist is willing to pay.

I think the biggest driver is personality. Some guys don't have the personality to try to bargain for a lower price. Some guys act like the girl is doing them a favor, so they are quite alright with and as we see many times even volunteer to pay extra. My personality is that I do not see it as something I need to pay a lot for. My attitude is that I am not about to pay all that money just for some pussy. I took the Combus from MDE airport to the Exposiciones metro station and it was quite easy. As soon as I came out of the airport terminal, the bus was right there. The bus stops at San Diego shopping center first and then, at the Exposiciones metro station. I saw taxis waiting at the San Diego shopping center and also, at the metro station. You pay the bus driver before getting off the bus. The fare was 15.5 K (aka 15.5 mil or 15.500 COP) pesos. You can pay with cash or with the "Civica" card. Make sure you take the bus that says Tunnel because that route is much quicker.

During my previous and this trip, I used the Metro a lot to get around; it was very convenient and safe. The Metro map is at all stations and the stations are staffed adequately to guide you if you need help. I had gotten the Civica Eventual card during my previous trip and 3 years later, it was still working and had the same balance that I had left on, which was a surprise to me. The card cost is a one-time charge of 10.900 COP. Then, just kept loading up the card with more money as needed. Each one way trip through out the system (I. E. As long as you don't exit the station turnstile) is 3.650 pesos.

I'm not sure how you define the bad part of town. But at a strip club 2 blocks from the nutty (and thus 2 streets from Centro) it was 80 mil for Medio with bbj. 100 mil for BBFS. It was the one where you enter the rooms through the dj booth. It's near Centro. But when I hear "bad area of town" I think a place you are going to get robbed and assaulted .2 blocks from the nutty is a fully lite street and a busy street isn't a bad part of town.

Now should you be walking actually in Centro at that hour. No. But that's not where the strip club is. I'm too gringo to know what the bad part of town is.

Not true in Medellin or Bogota. My Spanish is beyond horrible and I'm finding girls that speak English. Now granted it's more Bogota than Medellin. But it's really not true that you have to pay a huge premium. I don't say that to be cheap. But paying more doesn't result in a better experience. I've paid all ranges. I'm typically paying 200 mil for spinner university girl 18 to 21 for 2 to 3 hours+ BBFS.

Speaking about flights, I want to rant! Why the hell did Avianca eliminate the direct LAX to Bogota route. The clerk said something about a rumour of Avianca not being able to get a license; that doesn't make sense. What was once a 6.5 hour direct flight is now a 10 hour flight with a layover in El Salvador.

I agree with your analysis. In fact, I believe the mayor plans to run for President again. What he is doing is purely political pandering to his conservative base. He is projecting an image of standing up to the vastly more powerful 1st world countries and, as you stated, a defender of the innocence and purity of Colombian youth. I am only mildly sympathetic to punters who got themselves flagged. I have zero sympathy for punters who are on the lists because of noise or other complaints from neighbors. FICO cited that last category as another reason people could be barred from entry.

No. I was in Medellin last week and had no problem entering through airport immigration, however I am in my late 60's. I did notice many younger males in line and they slowed down the process quite a bit. The young, single males in line were getting questioned much more at the front booth and this made it much longer to get through. Heck, 75% of the non-Colombian airline passengers were young men 20-30, probably sex tourists!

Sadly, this mayor is hurting his own businesses and using one or two examples of underaged girls to blast his political agenda. There will always be a case or two. Here the Mayor's own police were at fault for releasing the American suspect from jail the next day because he was "not caught in the act" of doing anything illegal to the 2 underaged girls found in his hotel room, and the suspect promptly left the country. It makes no sense to punish his own businesses, by requiring they close early for 2 weeks, and pay his police officers overtime to set up ID checks in the Parque Lleras area. He is simply trying to get re-elected as a protector of the Medellin families. Political stunts.

I think the worst part in Centro is The Bronx, or El Bron, as they tend to say. Its Calle 56 con Cra 54. Just a few blocks behind Nuti. You'd get some real good discounts down there.

Ah, ok. I just walked down the street to the clubs on the street facing the park and got the rates I reported. That walk didn't seem bad at night. And then of course like 50 mil in Centro for rato.

I do not need a further discount if that means a much more dangerous area haha.
