Posts: 13Just curious to hear whether it is picking up in Fortaleza by now, or whether we have to wait until closer to Christmas?
Is there anybody in Fortaleza right now that could give us an update?
I am coming to fortaleza just before christmas, and was wondering whether it would make sence to take a couple of days in Canoa Quebrada?

Well fellow mongers by this time we all agree that the pros in fortaleza are not as beatiful as other cities.
The biggest proof of that is that the majority of girls pf the high end casas:
clube do whisky and casa de beth are imported from other states sucha as rio, goias, rio grande do sul, etc..
There is a prive that has not been mentioned on the forum, it's called prive belissima and it's located in rua vicente leite,2020.
It's a good place, they always have 15-20 girls a lot of them good looking.
Hope this post could help.

The people from the north and northeast of Brazil often have very distinct features typical for the region or the state.
- Salvador: very strong black influence, mulatas, negras.
- Manaus: caboclo-look with some indian-blood
- Fortaleza: chubby, footballsheads, no necks
- Sao Luiz: not necessarily black, but often with very distinct cheekbones
- Belém: distinct checkbones and puffy lips made for kissing
- Recife: chubby, worn out Sertão-look, often plain ugly
It's fun, and quite easy, to guess where the girls come from. Of course you can also hear it on their accent.
Personally I'm very fond of the faces of the girls in Belém and Pará. The bodies of the bahianas. The attitude of the girls in Manaus. The horniness of the girls in Fortaleza. The girls in Recife... hmm, they might have nice cousins in Salvador.

Kapital club is now called Forro Mambo. Other than the name change, it is exactly the same set up - large stage on the first floor with a band, electronic music upstairs in the smaller dark 2nd floor room. Cover charge of R20 each night, whether the place was jumping or dead. While I was there, all of the discos were open (Zippi bar, Europa club, Bikini bar, etc) and the gals did the regular nightly rotation between them.
The GDPs in Fortaleza were mostly ugly, short and round with a pot belly and very little of the famous Brazilian bunda. But like I said, there were a number of gems out there, if one was willing to dig a little. Was not able to hit the casa/apartmento scene, but would love to have. I know the well-heeled locals are not doing the typical GDP there.
You can check my Fortaleza postings from late 2004 (the last time I was there) for a couple more pics of the type of gems that can be found in Fortaleza, if you are willing to work a little.
I agree with Sperto - there are a lot of gorgeous gals in Fortaleza, they just not working as GDPs in the bars around Iracema. (Actually this could be said about any city in Brazil) As he suggests, check out Mucuripe Clube if you have game (speak some portuguese, can dance some forro, etc). On my flight out of Fortaleza, there were about 40 18-20 year old college gals on the plane, all heading off to Orlando to work at Disneyworld for two months and to learn more english on an exchange program. Virtually every single one was gorgeous - they could easily have been from Ipanema in Rio or Jardims in S.P. They made the typical Iracema GDP look pretty lacking. While chatting them up, they said that Mucuripe Clube was their favorite club.
As for GDPs moving on up from Fortaleza, I can only base my remarks on several beautiful garotas I have done in both S.P. and Rio - they started up north in their home towns, moved to Fortaleza for a bit, then moved to S.P. or Rio to make even more money - this is what they related to me - including one of my S.P. favs, originally from Rondonia.
Diane was not a Ceara gal, but from Sao Luis, and had gone to Fortaleza to make more money. This surprised me, as she is not a typical Sao Luis gal (heavy afro-brazilian population there), and I too had thought she was probably from the Natal/Recife area, until I heard her speak. She spoke with a very unusual accent - very fast and clipped - which I had some problems understanding. Maybe this is a Sao Luis accent - I do not know.
I would not write Fortaleza off, as the beaches are great, and if willing to dig a little, you can uncover gems at a third to a half of the price such a gal would cost in S.P. or Rio for TLN. You just have to work a lot harder for it.

I doubt a beautiful Fortaleza GP would head down to "the big league" in Rio. If she's interested in gringo customers she'll be much better of in Fortaleza.
Why is that?
1. In Fortaleza there is a never-ending stream of Italian (and Dutch) mongers coming down to spend their holidays. So even if the prices are lower in Fortaleza she'll have much more customers.
2. If she's a beautiful girl she'll have less competition than in Rio.
3. In Fortaleza the boates are concentrated in a small area. The top-end girls will be "famous" in no-time.
What is "the big league" in Rio? Help? OK, the number of gringo-losers willing to pay overprice is higher in Copa.

I was in Fortaleza in November for a few days. It had been 2 years since I was last there. A reasonable number of Italian mongers were there and a fair number of garotas too, but I cannot say that I was impressed with the girls at all. I had forgotten how disappointing the scene there can be - and think that it has gone downhill a bit since I was last there. The typical Fortaleza garota is an ugly short round gal with a pot belly and very little of the famous Brazilian bunda. If used to the scene in Rio or S.P., one will be very disappointed in the quality available. However, as in the past, I was able to find some diamonds in the rough after a lot of searching - young gals just starting out in the hooking business - and before they have hit the big leagues in Rio and S.P. It just seemed to take me longer to find the diamonds in the rough than in the past.
I would estimate that 10% of the gals were attractive and another 5% of the gals were very attractive. In my short time there, I was able to land a couple of beauties - beautiful short thin hard bodied spinners that would easily go for double or triple the amount if you were in Rio or S.P. Here is a picture of one of them - 19 year old Diane, a rare blonde amongst the Fortaleza garotas. After she has made some money in Fortaleza, I imagine that she will head down south to the big leagues in Rio and S.P.
During the day, I would hang out at Coco Beach at Praia Futuro - I saw quite a few of the gals there in the Forro Mambo area bars at night. The best nights were Friday and Saturday. Rest of the week was pretty dead while I was there. I saw no evidence of law enforcement crackdowns, but had my passport with me at all times just in case.

Posts: 13Conio66, Thank you for the information!!
I sense from your comments that you are not Italian, he he... )
Sounds great, Italians and GDPs in one place! How much entertainment can a man ask for during his vacation...
I will be there from before christmas and over new year, so there should be time enough to have fun. If things are as you posted, this is going to be a good christmas.
Just one tip for you. Rent an apartment, that is much cheaper, and you also have more freedom than if you stay in a hotel.

Balman,
I was there for christmas and new year 4 years ago, and since the 3 times in low season.
This year I decided to go before christmas (18.-23.12) because the hotels are pretty much more expensive during new year (at least I couldn’t find a good one).
What’s going on: The place is full!!! Mainly Italians, Dutch, Germans, but ..Italians!!! Therefore the going rates are usually more exp. (BR 200 up for LT)
The good thing this time: There are many Brazilians tourist as well (some students and so are quiet easy to get).

Does anyone have any updated information about what's going on in Fortaleza? Which clubs are running? Which aren't? I've read the entire Fortaleza section and some of the info is kinda old. Are any of the houses (listed by Pluto2) still open? Escort info? I'll be in Fortaleza for 3 1/2 weeks starting November 28 and any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You want your equipment back before you return to Germany. If I were you I would go directly to the Delegacia that holds your equipment. Insist of speaking to the one in charge.
Be calm, patient and in a smooth way offer him/her a kind of reward (not a bribe) for being so kind helping you getting your equipment back. Something like R$ 200(-400) would be suitable.
Of course they don't deserve any reward, but your equipment is valuable and you're short of time.

Yes, I was today in the office of the german consul in Fortaleza.
I said, I am scared, they could keep my camera.
He said, yes this could happen some times.
So he didn't call me back until the evening, he wanted to do this.
Tomorrow is Friday, they wanted to return the cameras tomorrow.
I will go there and hope the best.
But I really was scared, because it is an expensive videocam. It looks like a normal consumer-cam, but it has three chips and makes really TV like videos. Sometimes even the TV stations use is, because it is so small and nobody thinks, its professional.
But at least I had a good day yesterday with a nice girl, I met in the bikini-bar in the night before.
We spend the night in my apartment, she was hot, like to take some photos, when she was drunken (I will post it, when back next week).
The next day we went to Cumbuco, a beach 25 km from Fortaleza.
I wanted to take photos with her, I had my normal Nikon 35mm camera and a small digicam.
She was pretty, but didn't like many photos. Still I have some nice pics.
When we went back in the car, she sat beneath me with her Bikini, I put my right hand onto her bikini trouser, but she took my hand away.
And put it into her trouser.
She got wet and I had problems to concentrate on driving.
She wanted to have sex in the car, or we go into a Motel.
But I drove her home, she had nothing than a red, not a matress to sleep, but this thing, I don't know the name in english, that you put between two walls.
She kissed me, let her bikini drop onto the floor.
We went into the mat, I couldn't imagine that it is possible for two persons to make love in this.
But it was good, we laid beside, the mat was moving, a great feeling, I fxxxxd her from beside and then she went onto me, her back into my direction.
This was great also.
I will meet her this evening. We will go to Croco-Beach, every Thursday is Crab-day (cada quinta feira e dia do caranguejo)
Will report.

In the airport migration office i spoke with a kind officer.
Asked about the certified copy.
He said, it is not exactly after the law, but most police-officers will accept it.
You go to a CARTORIO, there they make you the copy.

I am also interessted in whether you are walking around there with a big camcorder. I guess the police would always be interessted in keeping your equipment.
