Mangos is not in Poblado. A hard-body young stud may do alright around Poblado's Parque Lleras. Fat, old guys like me need to get out of Poblado.

Even though I live near Estadio, I'm too old to do much night life.

A few casas around 2, followed by a light dinner in Laurelas, and in bed with the steady Novia, is not a bad way to live really.

Sorry mate, I´m thinking of the group that nobody wants to help, the older people who sleep on the streets and under the overpasses.

Ive got a e-mail from Albert at VIP, he wants to help so I´ll get in touch with him, I´d like to do something together with the Mansion/VIP and local gringo´s if if anybody wants to help.

Its will not be like we will be there every morning cooking at 6.00am, shit no, we will get Colombians to do the work and we suppervise, take photo´s etc, basically, we give the money, watch it being spent properly, help some poor people and pat ourselves on the back !!.

I´d haft to talk to Albert but I´m thinking maybe, El Centrol/Moravio and or Santo Domingo, these type of areas and work in with some local group.

If anybody else has some suggestions, please come forward. I´d like to get going maybe in Febuary 08.

You might try a gym called Eros which is right in front of the stadium next to Centro Commercial Obelisco. It is also right down the street from Energy, the often great massage place. I had fantastic routine last time I was in Medellin where I would go to the gym and work hard, then grab lunch at a cheap menu place on the same block, then go to Energy and have some beauty work out the kinks! If I lived in Medellin full time I would look like Arnold Schwarzennegger (the younger version) after 6 months with that kind of incentive to hit the gym on a regular basis!!

I liked Eros because it is much cheaper than Bodytech and the girls, while not as hot on average at Bodytech girls, are also a lot less stuck up than the Poblado chicas that haunt bodytech.

I'm staying at VIP and my tentative itinerary is to hit the casas during the day as well as seeing sights around the city. Nighttime options would be hitting the strip clubs or mayorista. Some nights I'm sure I will want to see the bars in Poblado, probably Mangos one or two times, or the bars around the Estadio metro station (I salsa dance).

I'll probably also be going to one of the Bodytech gyms during the day as well or maybe the Gimnasio Santillana on poblado ave. I'm 34, pretty muscular and don't feel like taking a week off from lifting. I'll be going to lots of restaurants too as I get hungry every 4 hours or so.

I have a ton of info from this site as well as a couple others and I speak enough Spanish to get my point across pretty well (not fluent yet) but I know it will be safer if I have someone to go around town with seeing as this is my first time visiting Medellin.

Even though I dont need to stay at a "mansion type" establishment, but have no problem with people who do. We have very similar views on the subject, And I applaud you sticking to your guns, Even though they are asking 150+ST at these "Mansions" I have no qualms telling a chica to "move on" (Always kind and respectfully though) How can she call you tacano dishing out 28,000k for Dominos? Didnt she see the prices there?

I have 4 trips there and we travel in small groups and spend lots of maoney. They all know it and many are giving in to the 60,000 - 80,000 ST range that we established and are raking in 500,000 a week. I can live with it and at least 100 Paisas over 4 trips can live with it.

Also, which one they think would be better for someone who would need a guide and is on a budget of under $100/night for a room, preferably under $60. There are a lot of mixed opinions in the forums and it gets confusing. It seems like the mansion would be better for me the first time and maybe next time VIP. Thanks.

Cost per night? Varies from about $60 up a night.

Girls are there or you have to bring them? They have women stopping by and you can bring them in.

Cost for them? (like if they are agency girls or not) cost is say 150k tln. Some will take less and take less for st.

Which one is better for a new guy with little Spanish skills? Only stayed at mansion but both have english speaking staff.

Guide included? No. But the hosts will help and go out with you plus so will experienced guests.

Transportation included? No.

I would figure at least $250 a day for room, food, drinks and a girl or two.

Last trip I had this Paisa from the Mansion named Marcela come over for 100,000 a session. She wanted more but to bad. She comes on her own the following Saturday and sits from 2PM - 6:30PM and has no takers and is starving. I take her to Dominos and she eats half the pie, she is so hungry and asks why I am so cheap. I tell her that when I return I will be glad to pay 80,000 a session and have 2-3 sessions over my 9 days. She says that will be fine with her. She thought that every Paisa that came to the Mansion got 1-2 guys ecah and everytime. Boy was she wrong.

Everyone makes their own decisions on what they pay.
It's interesting the varying levels that guys pay for chicas.

I'll probably get flamed for saying this but I don't mind paying a lot for a hot babe, a 9 or 10, even if everything's covered, as long as the body is tight and low-mileage. My vacation "fun time" is rare and extremely valuable to me, I'm not going to pass up on a hot babe just because I'm paying a gringo premium (well, as long as it's not outrageous either).

But looking at those pics of that mayorista chica ColBog sessioned with. . . maybe it was the lighting but I would have passed on that for 100K, maybe for 20-30K I would give it a whirl. :) Sure, I've had my share of saggy body parts and plain-looking girls but not at 100K, and with a high-mileage looking girl like that, you couldn't PAY me to go bareback!
