I'm not big on taking photos, so "smuggling" them back to the USA isn't a personal concern for me.

However, since US customs can take your equipment and keep/search it for weeks or months, there does not seem to be ANY safe means of physically carrying your photos home.

Instead, I would think it better to upload your photos to a personal web-based storage location, delete them all from your equipment before returning to the US, and then download them after you get home. Naturally, it would also be good to place them in an encrypted disk image before uploading them.

On a Mac, this might take the form of an encrypted .dmg file uploaded to your personal iDisk under a MobileMe account. But the more technically astute here may have some better ideas.

Another alternative might be to simply email or ftp them to yourself or a trusted friend. But take care that you don't run into technical problems with file size limits and the like.

Thursday, 07 May 2009, met with Panama Mike and his friends at "3 Cordilleras" Brewery right down the street from Fase ll, Premium Plaza and San Diego! It was a smaller crowd than the week before, but I still managed to pick up a couple phone numbers from some real cuties, which I will probably never have time to follow up on! Oh gosh, so many "hotties" so little time. ! They started kicking us out a little after 8:30 P. M. , could only drink 3 of the 5 beers allowed for 15k! Must get there early, 5:30-6:00PM to enjoy all your beers! It was fun, then we were off, first to Panama Mike's apartment near Estadio and then to Babylon!

I brought a "cutie" with me, Sara, which works sometimes at Casa los Angeles on Clle. 33, and ask two other girls that were sitting at the bar to join us! So it was 5 guys and 3 girls at the table! We danced took pictures, it was fun! On my smoking breaks outside I always try to talk to the girls and pick up phone numbers! On an aside, last night, Ana, whose number I got on one of those smoking breaks invited me to come with her to San Blas Disco! Going back to Babylon, My friend Sara whose a Lesbian and who I have been be-friending for the purpose of trios and foursomes with some of her friends didn't come through when I thought she would!

While outside on a smoking break we met some girls that appear to be flirting with her, they immediately started talking sexual and about going to the bathroom and kissing one of the girls who was supposed to be a newby at this! While this conversation was going on I was totally ignored! Funny How if you're gay or lesbian you can immediately start talking about sex without it being disrespectfull, but if you're just a straight normal kind of guy, well you'are a pervert if you dare talk about sex immediately after meeting a girl, thast's life! Within a few minutes the 3 girls went to the "ladies" bathroom and when my friend Sara came back she rubbed her hand on my nose so I could smell the odor in her fingers from the "pussy" she just had! The other girls went by and totally ignored me, so much for dating a lesbian to get to other girls!

I already knew this from previous experiences with lesbians, they are a very exclusve Club, but I thought I would give it another try, specially since I explained to Sara that that's why I was taking her out! Since she did nothing to include me in on the conversation we had outside with the girls, and followed it by going to the bathroom with the girls, I told Sara " Hasta La vista Baby "! I don't cook a meal for somebody else to eat, and not participate! Some of these women think that all men are stupid and that we are just going to take them out, pay for everything and they can pretty much do whatever they want while we "bask in their beauty". Well, with me they soon find out, ussually after the second date, that if there is no affection for my "caged birdy", my "zippered friend" they will soon here "Hasta la Vista Baby"! Only Cindy and kelly survived over a year without hearing those words, but then, they were very special and helped me in other ways! And Cindy finally came through, and was worth the wait!

After Babylon I took the guys to an after hours place called El Deportista, near where all the Casas in El Centro are, the San Juan/San Antonio area! I saw a cutie right away, fell in love, and had my heart broken all within an hour! She was beautiful, a very dark skin girl but with caucasian feautures, the best of both Worlds, and a smoking hot body wrapped in a soft silk mini dress! She had smoke comming out of my ears! She was really GFE at first, we danced, kissed, etc. But I guess she saw me too eager and concluded she had me in the bag, big mistake! She started getting the wondering eye syndrome after we had agreed on being together, cardinal sin for me! I went to the bathroom and when I came back she was sitting on some Colombian guy's lap and dancing Reggetton with him! After about ten minutes she came back and said they were just friends she went to say high to. I told her it looked a lot more than a "salute" to me, so it was "Hasta la vista Baby", no $$ from them and nothing from me, which would have been a sure thing!

A few minutes later she was standing talking to this real cute petite girl with hot smoking legs wearing hot pants! I immediately went over and started talking to the girl, rubbing her legs, she was very nice, didn't object to what I was doing, managed to get my "motors running again" and of we went for 50k to a very successful coupling! She was so tiny and hot, small breast but beautifully shaped legs and smoking hot little ass! Once I opened those shapely legs and got my "birdy" in there he felt really warmed and appreciated in there, a little squeezed (tight), but that made it all the better for him! It was a great night for me! As always, in Medellin Paradise what may start as an off night, can turn in a dime and become a "great experience"! But you got's to know where to go to change things around, and be flexible!

This is informative, I'll try to take more precautionary measures. One good suggestion I heard is take the battery out of the camera and hide it in your checked baggage and claim the battery is lost/stolen, and thus you cannot power up your camera.

Though the best solution for me I suppose is to backup all my vids/photos to my laptop, back in the days of mini-dvs you can just keep the dv tapes separate. Now with those HDD drive camera the procedure is much more painful.

I noticed in another thread a discussion about people concerned with having their computer searched going through the airport. Basically, how to hide any photos you would prefer for them not to see.

On a Mac, you can use disk utility to create an image file (.dmg ) and password protect it. Copy your pictures into there. Delete originals. You can also rename the .dmg file and give it a different extension, and throw it in a system related folder, such as User Account Folder > Library > Preferences.

On the PC, you can do the same basic thing by creating a password protected compressed archive using WinZip. You can hide it using the same method described above.

I just save my pics to a SD card and put the card in my back pocket,no problems. Also, if my camera or laptop get stolen somehow I will still have my pictures.

first check id's. that is a must. no id no deal.

as far as getting caught with an **** girl who gives you a fake id, i don't know what would happen ,but for sure the worst thing in colombia is to face charges for being with an **** girl. i guess the best thing if in that situation would be to have enough pesos to bribe you way out of that mess.

last time i was at mayorista i had a hot 16 year old sitting at my table and i was so uncomfortable with her just being there that i gave her 10k and then took off in a taxi for a strip club in el centro.

Yes, there was a shooting in La Mayorista last night around 9PM! It seems that the local "collector" pushed somebody too far! I knew this guy from being around for the last 1. 5 years, didn't know him personally, but knew who he was. He and another big guy would collect protection fees from the small businesses, and what rubbed me the wrong way was that they collected from the street cigarrette venders and Shoe shine guys!

The big boy dissappeared about 3 months ago, I stopped seeing him around. Then I saw this poor wimpy looking fool by himself! About a week ago, instinct alone told me something wasn't right! The poor guy didn't seem right being a "collector" by himself! Last I heard he had kicked and beaten up some poor shoe shine old man for not paying him the $3, 000cop ($1. 50US) protection fee! I guess that didn't go over too well with somebody, and today he lies dead!

I went by La Mayorista this morning around 6:30AM and it was "humming and bussing"! I guess since the girls couldn't work last night do to the the street being closed, they probably tried to make up for lost time in the early hours! Hundreds of people were comming and going to work. Everything back to normal, one less "thug" on the street!

Finally, what's approximate tip range one can expect to dish out (so I can make sure I have at least that much available) for BBFS. 75% of original negotiated price? 100%? Or is it like general accepted standard amount, like 50k or 100k?

Don't tip them extra for it otherwise everything will be itemized like in Tijuana where $5 extra to take of a bra, etc. Etc.

You just have to play it by ear as all women are different. Knowing some spanish and having a rapport with the chicas will certainly help. Also, choose the girl wisely, namely the ones that seem interested in you vs repulsed or indifferent.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but you may have your films viewed upon a return to the USA If singled-out for an inspection. I had 800 tourist pictures and the like returning from Spain, and offered to order the pizza. After the first 120 pictures of churches, I was told that I could go. HA.

This is interesting, can I get independent verification from other members that it is standard airport security policy for them to review your FILM (NOT just your camera) on the way out? That seems like an invasion of privacy.

I only been to Medellin once, on the way through the airport, they opened up and looked at my camcorder but certainly didn't scroll through my films (THANK GOD). If this is standard practice then I need to be far more careful than I currently am..

I'm troubled about the attitude of some "gringos" or "foreigners" against the chicas! I've always talked good about the Colombian or "Paisa" temper as gentle and non-violent! But let's not forget that once upon a time when "Escobar" was around they were a very violent lot! The "Paisa" has a "group" mentality and can change in a dime!

You definitely don't want to be caught abusing their women or any of their own, they don't fight one on one, they fight in groups! They might seem very quiet, but if you provoke them it can get ugly real quick! And it doesn't matter how big you are or how strong, because they will compensate with numbers or weopons!

So far I have defended all "foreigners" everywhere, and practically act as a bodyguard or protector, but if "foreigners" start getting a reputation of violence against women or the Working girls, then I will "check out" and blend into the local population, because the consequences can be deadly and I happen to live here!

So guys, we know that most of these girls have "shity" personalities, but what do you expect, they're "*****s" not "nuns"! Just enjoy what you can and realize that sometimes you will have a great experience, while many other times you'll want to throw the "*****" out! Just keep your cool and realize it's only a "few bucks" and can be overcome, but loosing your live can't!

Geraldine is mad at me because I had been with her once and I couldn't remember! It wasn't until Panama Mike told me that she would'nt take off her boots that it all came back to me! Then I remembered that I even wrote a post about our encounter and called her "angel face"! She even sang a whole "Mariachi" for me with a band and all! And she did take of her boots for me! She has the cutest little "pale white" feet I have ever seen! She's a doll, but I lost her when I forgot our encounter!
