It's been almost two years since I've been in Cali but it sure didn't disappoint. Went to Escoces since it's the closest place to my Hotel. Yes use USD from your bank in Colombia meaning take your US ATM card. Stick it in a Colombian ATM (anyone that's not Davidenda) take pesos out. Spend converted USD's on whatever in Colombia, you will be qouted in Pesos and you should pay in Pesos.

Consider a first trip to Canada or Mexico.
