Your comment about this being a location for chit-chat makes no sense to me. This is a discussion forum. Another word in the english language for discussion is chit-chat. I think as long as one person is education by a thread (be it a repeat topic or not) then the board has accomplished its goal. I guess if you don't like certain topics then just tune them out. Like in life for me when there is someone I can't stand, I tune them out. Like you.

I have been surfing QQ and Wechat and came across several sauna and MP chat groups. If you don't have these two apps on your phone, might be a good idea to download them, especially QQ. Communication is strictly in Chinese (they don't uderstand a lick of English) but phone translations does wonders. Here are some of the things I observed with these groups.

1. 10%-15% discount when you make reservations through the app.
2. Photos of girls in some cases (most don't show faces).
3. Different level of services each girl provide.
4. don't' expect or ask for reviews like you see here in ISG.
5. Groups can get pretty big like up to a few hundred people.

Here are just a couple of examples of these chat groups.

I was questioned as to its legitimacy by some of the elders but trust me it did happen to my friend and will happen to anyone. The prices in Shanghai are a joke and the women aren't very attractive at any price. Save your $$.

I quote the old adage above. Shanghai is infamous for the scam where they take you to a place for cheap service where it costs you a fortune to get out of there. That said, there are still many BBS scattered around town where you can still get full service for less than 200 RMB if you know where to look for it. Most of these places have been posted on this thread.

I have been reading the forum to get an idea of the lay of how things work here, and I am shocked and confused. I see borthers quoting prices like RNB1,380 to RNB1,980. This translates to US $216 to US $310. Some here say that China is still a bargain. To me these prices are no bargain.

This evening I walked along the Bund and down Walking Street alone. I was approached by men and women, young and old to go have a massageee for RNB200. Some quoted as low as RNBB100 to RNB150. This is confusing. Someone please enlighten me.

Weather is very very windy in Gubei area. There was a heavy storm this week and at least one MP is "under repair".

Those shops are still there and have all the tell-tale signs of having extras on the menu- open late, girls sitting outside, very few reviews on damping. It seem hard to get intel on MPs in this city though. SNG lists only two chains, and a lot of those shops have closed recently.
