I've been looking on this site for the last year and received some really good info for Nicaragua. I've been reading through the thread and have yet to find info on Brothels, working girl houses that do not charge tourist prices and have that sweet Colombian ass. I keep hearing el centro to pick up a wife but I want a working girl. Also been looking online and keep seeing that I want to be around the Poblado area is where the fun is. I'm going to Air BNB my own place so should be okay to bring a chic back too. Any info on where I should go and what I should pay would be awesome.

I'm monitoring multiple threads for upcoming trips in October, December, and early next year and I will say this: the level of hostility and arrogance shown on the Medellin thread is not seen on any other thread that I'm monitoring. When I post a comment, I'm genuinely trying to help someone. Unfortunately and sadly, some of you (like Napalm) enjoy being Keyboard Warriors / Trolls. That's fine, do what you do and say what you say. I'm not thin-skinned and easily butt hurt like a few people on this thread. Mongers planning trips to Medellin, Cali, Bogota, Cartagena, and San Andres Island are welcome to contact me via PM (and thanks to those who already have) if they'd like help planning their trips. Respectfully, yes and no. Mongers refer to it as "El Centro. " Regular tourists refer to it as "Ciudad Vieja" or, more commonly, "Ciudad Amurallada. " I know, I was there for 7 days.

For the record, the song 'Blowing in the Wind' was written by Bob Dylan (1962) and he sang the song. But Peter, Paul and Mary's version probably gained the most notoriety and fame. Yes I'm an old fart and remember when the song came out. But good analogy Black Page.

Don't know anything about hotels. Apartments are the way to go in Medellin.

I will second that. Apartments are the way to go. AirBnB has apartments for as little as 20 USD per night. And no one is going to hassle you. I usually stay a La Provincia in Poblado. They don't ask any questions and tolerated quite a bit of partying in my room. No one said a word to me. Cra 30 A #9-45. But that is just one of many places.
