    Camaro in Sosua July 2014

    Camaro's Sosua Synopisis July 2014:

    Introduction:

Gentleman I just completed my trip to Sosua-Las Terrenas. This synopsis will cut to the meat of my experience in Sosua for those who are not interested in reading the entire trip report. This is a companion to my Las Terranas report. Since both myself and Sosua are changing I will list some of my thoughts as it relates to what is currently taking place on the ground in Sosua.

Below I have listed my notes for your review:

    Victoria House:

I originally booked the Victoria House summer special because I wanted to see the difference between the old and the new wing however the old wing was not available so I stayed in the new wing like I had in my previous visits. Of course the view of the Sosua Bay is the primarily selling point. The major difference is that they have changed the entrance to the big foyer that is closer to After One and the Casino. There was a mice little morena that checked me in that kept smiling at me I can't figure that one out for the life of me!

Some people have various complaints about Victoria House but my only complaint would be some of the furniture and fixtures are dated but over all I have had a great stay there and the staff is great.

    Urbana Cabana Hotel & Lounge:

I ate lunch at Mangu Comedor and met a gentleman who said he was staying in the Urbana Cabana Hotel & Lounge next to Rockies on Dr Rosen. He said the hotel sucks! Apparently the air-conditioner doesn't work well the rooms are not up to par and there is no refrigerator in the rooms. He advised the hotel virtually provides no services and he could not advise me on the functionality of the internet. He said he was paying $65.00 a night and it sounded to me like he was getting screwed by the hotel instead of the chicas. I did not bother to investigate myself.

Later that day guess who I saw at Victoria House, yes the same gentleman.

    Hotel Colibi es cerrado:

I booked Hotel Colibri 2 months before my trip because I wanted to stay on the east end of Pedro Clisante to get a different feel of Sosua. The first leg of my trip I stayed at the Victoria House but the second leg of my trip the plan was Hotel Colibri. I arrived to discover it was closed. Therefore I had to find another hotel.

    Hotel Europa:

Welcome to the Dominican Republic where anything can happen. I made a reservation for Hotel Colibri and arrived to find it closed. I walked to Hotel Europa and they had room so I will rest my head here for the tail end of my trip. I stayed there before a couple of years ago and the only problem I had was the street noise from Pedro Clisante. The hotel is quite dated and currently being renovated. During the day noise could be heard from men working therefore my biggest complaint would be the noise. The WIFI air-conditioning and hot water were very good.

The room is an efficiency style apartment I may consider long term here if I decide to settle in Sosua we shall see.

    Casa Linda Residence:

I joined a fellow monger for lunch at his Casa Linda villa. I was impressed with the Casa Linda property which was well maintained and SUPER security. The 2 bedroom model was $150.00 per night. The primary disadvantage is the distance from Sosua and the fact that you need a car to come and go freely where as if you do a hotel stay closer to the strip a car is not necessary.

    Pedro Clisante update July 30,2014:

As it has been previously reported Pedro Clisante has gone through some changes. The street closes at 6 pm to vehicular traffic and tables are put out in front of many of the establishments. The Latins is still closed and Rumba is slow but doing what Rumba does. I am rarely in Sosua during the weekends so this assessment occurred during the middle of the weak during the slow season so I am sure the results will be different during the weekends.

    City Lights:

I like the layout of the club in fact I think it is classier in appearance than Rumba as an open air bar but there may have been less than 3 or 4 people there every time I passed by.

    Rumbas:

It was reported they had an un-escorted chica policy for a short time which killed their business but now things are back to normal. Well almost. I saw a couple of chicas get turned away who were wearing outfits that exposed to much flesh. The talent level was low mostly 6's with a few 7's sprinkled in nothing to brag about.

    The Premium Disco Bar:

There were chairs on the sidewalk and the times I went by they had no more than a dozen people inside. I did notice a heavy security presence perhaps due to the recent shooting.

    The Spot:

I did not see anybody inside anytime I walked by.

    The Winners Circle:

I saw a little crowd there each time I walked by but mostly people standing out front.

    Merengue:

They keep the door closed and run ceiling fans and light air conditioning inside. They serve snack food like chicken wings etc. It is a very chill spot and I love the staff they are always friendly. I also like being able to watch the chica parade up to Classicos through the glass partitions.

    Classicos:

The crown of Sosua night life. Right now if Classicos was not open Sosua night life for mongers would suck! I enjoy the night club atmosphere and air-conditioning. Sosua's best comes out even on slow nights you can find a few 8's in the house. They open at 11 pm and it is on and poppin by 1 am. The cover has been reported to be as high as 500 DOP and I have paid both 100 DOP and 200 DOP.

I enjoy everything about Classicos the drinks are a little expensive but that is a small price to pay for the chica parade you get to witness. During the week it is very comfortable however it is reported that on the weekends there are definitely fire code violations by US standards because it gets so crowded.

    East end Pedro Clisante:

I had plan on investigating the east end of Pedro Clisante because I was going to be spending 3 nights at Hotel Colibri but when that fell through I decided to stay closer to the main action.

Sosua Gentrification & es Sosua moribundo?

Is Sosua dying? Lorenzo Sancassani, is the Minister of Tourism for the northern coast of the Dominican Republic and he has pledged to eliminate sex tourism in Sosua. His stated intent is to make Sosua safe for family tourism. To this end we have seen the closing of Passions, Caribbean Men's Paradise, the' Latins and the reported deportation of the owner of Rumbas.

It has been reported that there is some big real estate investment planned for Sosua which is one of the reasons suggested for the shift in direction and the planned suppression for the PFP scene. The jury is still out because no one knows what the future is. On the surface it appears as if despite the government's desire to eradicate sex tourism in Sosua there is no consistent coherent plan to accomplish the stated goal. If they were being consistent they would find a reason to crush Classicos which is the primary monger destination for Sosua at this time.

    Mongering styles:

Good mongers have to be flexible and be able to change like chameleons. There are many ways to go about this thing of ours. Mongering styles are as different as the monger himself. If Sosua changes as forecast either Sosua mongers will have to find other mongering locations or use different tactics to do what we do. This includes using the internet and exploring other parts of the Dominican Republic for available talent.

I find myself in transition, straight PFP has its advantages because when you are done you are done, but sometimes straight PFP lacks the connection and the GFE I prefer. I endeavor to find something in the middle. Something not too strangling with the "como estas?" every hour on the hour, but I don't want the shallowness of every time I look up "dame dame dame o quiere quiere quiere" I realize I will never find perfection but I can have fun trying.

    The vetting process:

As previously stated we all have different mongering styles and there is no perfect way to do this thing of ours I am simply sharing the methodology that works for me. I have a template that I follow especially in Sosua however I am learning that regardless as to how well you try to execute your plan the events that follow are always unpredictable.

Observation: I generally will observe and study a chica to include her appearance and how she interacts with others. I generally prefer flacas that are either canela, morena or negra but I have been known to deviate from my paradigm occasionally.

Greeting: I will greet my target with some sort of flattery to catch her off guard for example I might say "Tengo una pregunta?" She is on her toes now "Porque hizo Dios hacer las mujeres tan hermosa?" This generally gets a smile and I will take the conversation in whatever direction I feel lead to at that time.

The interview: I begin the interview process. The purpose of the interview is to let the chica know you are not a simp and she cannot run game on you. I have recently discovered that I have a reputation amongst the Sosua regulars that I am "profundo" and "complicado. " I surmise this is impart due to the fact that I do not randomly throw money at the chicas and I challenge them to think during the interview process. On more than one occasion I have walked away from a chica with her having the WTF just happened look on her face.

It should be noted that the aforementioned guarantees nothing other than that the chica can tell that I am not the typical monger. It does not guarantee good sex because I continue to have everything from mediocre to outstanding sex using this technique. What I will say is that I have been able to avoid much of the drama that is being reported by some Sosua mongers whether that is fate or technique can be debated in another post.

    Interviewing & Practicing Spanish:

My current mongering style relies heavily on the interview stage. I use the interview stage to practice my Spanish, I realize the primary source of my learning Spanish should not be a PFP chicas who may or may not have completed high school. Although many PFP chicas niether speak or spell Spanish well they are giving me an excellent opportunity to practice my Spanish by working on my pronunciation, syntax and expressing past and present tense. If I cannot have a seamless conversation with a PFP chica I will definitely not be able to entertain a decent conversation with a civilian chica who has little interest in my money. It is my intention to use these opportunities to help me in my immersion into the Dominican culture. For me PFP is only the beginning and not a place for me to remain indefinitely. I chose not to make a meal of what should only be an entree.

    Sosua closing thoughts:

I have read extensive post about bad experiences mongers have had with the Sosua PFP scene. This trip I met 2 chicas who worked in PFP abroad one in Argentina and the other in Panama. These women could entertain me in conversation as well as in the bed. Many Sosua chicas are simply not professionals and do not have a clue. They don't know how to talk to a client engage him on an a level to make him want to spend more time. As long as mongers deal with street rats who are only thinking about today we will continue to have the subpar performances as well has the potential liabilities we encounter in Sosua PFP. It is not that you cannot have problems with a experienced professional however these two women were an absolute joy both in and out of the cama.

Not every opportunity you lose is a loss. I met a stunning princesa de ebano at Copacabana which is an afterhours spot. She passed my interview and when we arrived at my hotel she did not have her cedula. I was given an opportunity to have her sign a waiver at the front desk but she could not write her name or give her date of birth. Later she could not give me her cell number despite the fact she had the cell in her hand. I hit the eject button because there were too many warning signs to proceed further she was absolutely beautiful but I walked away from her thinking not every opportunity you lose is a loss.

A couple of chicas tried to get 2500 DOP from me for ST but they quickly came down after I showed my displeasure. We can still hold our ST prices between 1500-2000 DOP unless she is a stunner that you absolutely have to have.

You never know what to expect in this thing of ours the best BJ I had this trip was from a chica who insisted on me using a condom. How she made that CBJ feel so good is beyond me. I generally cannot get off on BJ's but that thang was dah bomb!

Many mongers are critical of the wife up option. I might be choosing that option in the future because although the hunt is fun sometimes you catch prey that is not pleasing to the taste. The random sexual encounters of the hunt produces random outcomes some good and some bad. I am starting to believe that the predictability of the wife up option might not be a bad idea.

There is no doubt that Sosua is in transition. I have spoken with some of the chicas and they are hurting for clients a couple of them are really nice and I like them as people and I feel bad for them but there is nothing I can do for them. Sosua is currently truly a buyer's market due to the season and the recent government crackdown. I do not know what the strategy is but it seems like a slow strangle because there is plenty of PFP in Sosua but it is not thriving as in days gone past.

Those who enjoy Sosua should do so while they can and consider alternatives as we do not know what the future holds. The premier spot for PFP is Classicos where the monger who prefers Dominican women can find almost anything he seeks. It is slow during the week but there is plenty of fish especially as the weekend approaches.

    Conclusion:

I enjoyed both my stay in Sosua and Las Terranas I had a few disappointments but I had a few pleasant surprises also. My plan is to continue to use Sosua as my base of operations to explore the rest of the Dominican Republic. My next excursion will be Sosua. Jarabocoa at the end of August I will keep you posted.

    Forgive me, or Sosue me.

I get a text or two every day from LP. When you coming? Buenos diaz, Buenos Noches etc. And I rarely answer except to tell her when I'll be in Sosua.

Every couple of weeks she asks for money for the usual stuff, which I ignore completely. She knows I will never respond to direct request for money, and that's established.

But I'll be heading down there soon. She doesn't know it, but I'm sending a little WU ($200) to facilitate her trip to meet me. (10 to 12 hours, depending on connections). She'll be fresh, clean, well fed, rent paid, with that smile on her face, so she can concentrate on me.

I know, I know, what some of you guys think, but I think it's money well invested.

I'm posting this in the interests of honesty and to remind those who are bored reading about my GF stuff, that I'm well aware that money is still the main driver.

    Beautiful people of the DR

This morning, 7/30, I started off from Sosua. On my way to Santiago. It was a gorgeous day. Actually the sun started burning my left arm fairly soon. I had a 12 PM appointment in Santiago and as usual took the mountain road across – calle Luperon??

The road this time was particularly bad and halfway through in the middle of nowhere, in some pueblo, my front passenger tire was flat. After hitting umpteen potholes. I kind of heard it and then of course had to stop which happened to in front of a small colmado. I was quite at a loss. The last gomero I left about 20 minutes behind me and I told myself that I am in some soup. There was a 16-17 year old lad doing something in front of the colmado. He jumped right at it when I asked him how close was the next gomero. I opened the trunk to pull out the spare and the jack. He with the help of another young lad, took out the flat tire. The spare was not sufficiently inflated and so after speaking with me for a few minutes decided to go with the flat to the tire guy downstream. Towards Pto Pta. There were already two of them for the bike and so I told him, I would just wait. He pointed towards his mom who was out and his dad (colmado owner) and told me not to worry. That he would be back soon. I smiled at them, saying that I am not in the least worried that he would run. I asked him how much the repairs might cost. He guessed 500. I had only 2000 peso bill and he objected but I had to give him that.

After they left I settled down for a lengthy wait. Tried calling the fucking car rental company Nelly. Always busy then decided, what the heck, they would not pay anyways since I did not buy coverage from them. I texted the 12 PM appointment saying I might be late. This tire episode happened around 10.45. A little boy brought out a chair for me to sit by the roadside and there were a gaggle of kids and their moms. Fortunately I had plenty of candies for them I carry usually and so it worked well. I wanted a beer but had no small bills and so I waited. Around 11.30, the boy got back, they put the fixed tire back into place and the spare and the jack etc in the trunk and 11.45, I was all set to go.

I went to the dad as the boy gave me 1600 pesos back – 400 to fix the tire – and bought a beer to share with the dad and his son – he had no issue with that – indeed was quite pleased. I thanked the boy profusely and gave him and his helping hand some money. Moral of the story – at the end of an hour or so, for very little money or without calling AAA, I was able to text the woman to meet me at 1230 instead – this happened essentially in the boondocks. If the lad is any example the DR has plenty of young and enterprising people. It was an experience to remember and to tell others.

I kinda thought for enough guys, being less enamored with the hunt, was mostly being less enamored with all the bullshit one has to deal with hunting. Dealing with their lying, the begging, being deluged with childish behavior, realizing you may have very little in common except fucking.

In fact, is it even hunting? The game is jumping at you. You don't even have to hunt. Its like a open book test, where they give you the answers. There can't be much satisfaction in that, at least not for any long duration of time. When you can get juice like that with no effort, soon you take that for granted. Thats why when guys go back home and come back to their mongering hole, they get the chance of missing the action a little more. Start fresh. Even with all of the BS. The women however, have a way of bringing you back to reality real quick.

Thats why I figure a younger cat can get to the point of being less enamored with that aspect of the hunt just as much as an old dude. Young or old I'm sure I would always love having variety. But as time goes on I can see myself less tolerant of BS, being seen as a walking wallet and more interested in having company ( even a variety ) with substance.

For guys who can come often or stay long periods they may have more opportunity of finding better quality hookups and establishing something more satisfying than what they could dealing mostly with uneducated underemployed women whose main objective is making quick cash.

    Hey,

Quick question I just return from a 10 trip from Sosua and I'm curious to know if there is event that has cause this opinion I'm assuming Paloma is that very attractive light skinned blond and Beba the darker girl with the long black hair. I only ask because I see and speak to Beba every time I'm in sosua and spent a lot of time with Paloma this trip. I was there 7-17 -28 if you were at casa Cayena I'm pretty sure we met.

I usually monger alone, but I have taken a very good pal down there on three occasions. He's always has a good time, and as a bonus he always wants, and can afford, to stay in upscale waterfront condos, Infinity Blu, and Blue Bayou, and always picks up the tab for me and the GF. That's a good friend.

We were all down there one time and a young couple I knew were in Puerto Plata on their honeymoon. Being so close I wanted to wish them well so one morning I took off alone early to have breakfast with them.

Now my pal and GF got along well together, and he thought she was hot. It was early in my relationship and I told him it was OK by me, so I figured something might happen while I was away. My ego would have been a little deflated, but I am a realist. Life is life.

When I got back they were laughing. Seems he tried to poke his head in the shower while she was there. She hollered and locked the door. When she came out he had gone for coffee and she locked herself in the adjoining suite. When I told her it would have been OK, she tore a strip off me, too.

Now that all could have been an act, an outraged semi pro?

But in my heart I was pleased, just one more brick in the wall of my relationship with her.
