As a NYer, done the trek to Sosua many times, the Del Rey in San Jose CR 3 or 4 times and typically try to have an African GF in NYC available.

But the party scene is really what I like too.

Dominicans really aren't to my taste, but back in the day 7-10 years ago, hanging out on the street in Sosua, watching the parade of girls head to one club or another, basically all available and then dancing with a few before making my selection is the most fun for me.

Haven't been able to find that and don't want to go to SE Asia (girls too small and not to my taste) - where can I go to a fun club with a lot of non-hardcore athletic sweet African girls? English speaking too 👍.

At 1:30 am, today Wednesday, downtown on Main Street, 2 good-looking girls waiting for clients outside a club / disco called "Top Club" (or was it Spot Club, or Stop Club? My memory fails me). Anyway, Main Street is small. This type of daylight action is very rare in Africa.

Out of town in the touristy area around Wilson avenue, no action at all even after nightfall. Downtown Jinja easily accessible by motorbike taxi. I lecture motorbike taxis to drive slowly before I hop on.

Motorbike taxi to the "Nile View Casino" after 7pm. Told upon arrival that the casino's night-club was only open Thursday through Sunday. Room with the betting table filled with men who looked like they were all from the Middle East. Girls there were none.

A short walk from the casino, on Main Street, to a place called "Queen's Place". Many men. A couple of hardened girls of average looks, plus 3 or 4 other girls moving about, sometimes sitting with men, sometimes taking orders. Difficult to say whether the latter were customers, girls on the game or waitresses. A TV set was blaring. On the screen a preacher was performing miracles. What a dump. I gulped down my Fanta and called for the bill.

Off to SPOT6 club on Main Street. Better atmosphere than Queen's place but again, full of geezers. They had more right to be there than my white ass of course, but they were not what I was looking for. When I left to go back to the hotel at 9pm more men were trickling in.

No SWs or doable girls in the streets of Jinja as far as I could make out from the backseat of the motorbike.

Queens Palace is full over the weekend but you need to go at midnight or later, "The office" is also good but again only weekends and later in the night, same applies with the club next to the casino.

There is a club called cafe 49 (I think) that is a lot nicer than Queens Palace, but I have never seen girls obviously working there.

Kampala is better for pros and semi pros and girls in general, I tend to meet girls on Tinder, then have them travel to Jinja for the night, usually only have to give them a little transport in the morning.

Looking at blogs and travel clips I'd say Entebbe is more my speed than Kampala. But is there enough fun there to last a week or so?

Also, how long does it take by taxi to reach Kampala if I go there for a couple of days?

Many many thanks! M.[/QUOTE] Probably you wil get bored after few nights in entebee. Better stay kampala it has much better nightlife and much more girls. Use uber or bolt instead taxis its will save some money for you. Entebee-kampala is 40-50 minutes away if you not stuck somewhere at traffic.

Speke is considered very strict with girls' IDs. But this is only the case if what you have booked is "a room". If you book an "apartment" you will not be asked to register your visitor, whether you bypass front desk (if you carry your key with you) or whether you collect your key at front desk on your way to your apartment.

Apartments are in a separate block at the opposite side of Rock Garden. To reach them, from the Speke main entrance you turn left and walk across Rock Garden into the big Car Park & Wash. You can also leave and enter from the Car Park gate in Coleville Street if you're prepared to carry your key with you. Unfortunately the keys have a cumbersome wooden slab attached.

Hotel staff are ok with visitors being smuggled in like this, in fact even if you pick up your key at the front desk with your girl in tow before proceeding to the apartment side you will not be asked anything.

"Standard apartment" is the first and cheapest Speke accomodation to pop up for booking on Agoda.

Saturday night, Fame: this is a place like Wave. Hardly a single expat. M / F ratio around 7. Music not insufferable but not that great either. No girls on the game. Girls on average younger than say at Bubbles. Girls having fun with local friends.

Saturday night, Bubbles. This place was good on Thursday and even better on Friday so I was expecting it to be mind-boggling on Saturday. Not so. Too packed. If anything less girls than on Friday. Girls made up 1/12th of the crowd.

Sunday night, Cayenne. All tables in the disco section already taken at 9:30. Some lookers. Girls on the games recognizable by the fact that they huddle around a table with other girls instead of mixing with local men. Slightly more local men than at Bubbles. Didn't like the set-up. Bellows of noxious smoke from shishas. Treacherous steps on the floor. Like Bubbles, not really a fish tank (only venue approaching to a fish tank is Capital Pub). Unlike Bubbles, due to layout not possible to engage girls during forays to the toilet.

Impossible to fall asleep until after 3 AM!! Except for this, the apartments are perfect for a monger who wants to have multiple women visiting him at all times of the day.
