Yes it might be that Vienna will become the first major FKK destination to reopen maybe in June. I hope so. I think a lot of us on here will be flying to Vienna then!

Also, isn't the current travel ban only for non EU?

I feel sorry for the Romanian girls tbh many of them have debts to pay back to their pimp boyfriends and the majority of them come from poor and humble backgrounds. This current situation must be devastating. Since prostitution is legal in Austria, Germany and Switzerland I hope the governments bail out plans for economic assistance will also include help for sex workers.

The Gov was asking locals not traveling abroad until autumn, not sure if this has to be translated into a travelling lockdown till September.

For only 9 millions people. Quite a lot, when they reopen, even with masks.

Once everything is back to normal, that should be easy enough. And I believe there will be no travelling lockdowns. They are already loosening everything to make it easier for people coming in as it seems.

Of course governments all over the world will want to encourage citizens to not travel and spend money only locally but they won't be able to stop you if you really want to travel and be able to prove that you don't have Covid19 or had it but antibodies are there, you will be good, I think.

There will be a lot of technicalities coming our way determining how we can lead a normal life again but we will eventually and probably sooner than we thought just a few weeks ago.

Austria's numbers are now much better than expected, I think pressure of all closed businesses will become overwhelming soon and openings are hopefully inevitable. Even openings of brothels. But of course there is still considerable waiting time ahead. I wouldn't be too perssimistic, though. If our numbers stay this good, they'll run out of ideas as to why brothels or night entertainment should be a bigger problem than other services that involve body contact, etc.

No vaccination? Then you must turn around and go back to where you came from, at your own expense.

As I said they are already looking for ways to let tourists come in without major hassles. But not tourists from all countries, yet. For now Austria is in the progress of finding a bi-lateral agreement with Germany to allow back and forth under certain conditions. Don't think everybody will need a full medical. Unless something catastrophic happens and our fantastic numbers turn bad again, they will make things easier from now on is my bet.

Our current numbers: 400 dead in total and less than 100 new infections per day. Time to double the number of infecions more than a month. Numbers are far and beyond what they wanted them to be. Pressure is going to be immense from all businesses who now want to be rewarded for the discipline that we showed as we were told.

I said that "if and when a vaccine becomes available" (if and when), I can see countries requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19 before they will allow one to enter. It would not be some new concept, and has been done before regarding international travel, such as with yellow fever which is also a viral disease. Now, of course it can't be mandated yet as there is no vaccine. But, governments are going to want to do what they can to stop the entire world economy from coming to a standstill once again. If there is an effective vaccine available that can reasonably be expected to stop worldwide spread by requiring travelers to have it, then believe me they will absolutely require vaccination. And they should too, as opposed to just standing by and letting this happen again. It should be a no-brainer that requiring vaccination would be the right thing to do, provided of course that we get one.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]I wouldn't pay attention to individual Laufhaus's announcements. They definitely don't know better than us. Nobody does know anything for sure as the upcoming weeks will determine the course of actions of our government.

EDIT: I checked what they are writing in their liveticker.

Some other competitors think that they might open on May 17. Juchgasse is not as optimistic and doesn't expect openings before June 1. And even that depends on further development of the positive numbers in the fight against covid. That's basically the gist of it.

It's not really news what I can announce but in theory brothels are allowed to open tomorrow because all service industries in Austria can.

That said, brothels without ladies are not what we are looking for and the ladies at this point can't yet go to get their medical checks and be cleared for prostitution.

Now we wait because the health test for the ladies are allegedly scheduled to start again May 15th and that would coincidentally be the day when also bars, restaurants will open again.

And this points to the theory that they silently want to open the brothels again without triggering a big moral, ethical and medical discussion in the media. The media, of course, keeps publishing a few pieces here and there with no informational value whatsoever as they also did again today.

Laufhaus Juchgasse will aparently be the first to follow the media's lead as they announced today that they want to open tomorrow and pointed out how surprised they are about this positive and surprising change of events. Which it isn't at all. Nothing has changed at all except for some media outlets publishing non-informational pieces which only serve the purpose to confuse and fill emtpy print space.

Neither the government, nor the prostitution police or the health department have commented on this so far. Which I think they never wanted to in the first place. Now they might be forced to answer this very uncomfortable question. We will soon know it all. Tomorrow is a national holiday and on Monday I expect to be wiser as it might be part of the Monday press conference. And if it is not, let's all pray, May 15th might just mark the day when all clubs, bars, studios and laufhauses will be legally open again including legal ladies of the night (and day).

Unfortunately this paper is only available in german.
