Ok, so I guess I should have provided a bit more detail on my brief soapland report other than the price. Here goesFor starters, no I was not drunk, and did not wake up wondering where my 90k yen (US $900) went. Rather, this was a planned experience. Having read this forum, I was aware that most soaplands will offer a non-inclusive price for the bath, but the true price for full service is 3-5 times that. The Martini website advertized 30k yen, so I figured full price was around 90-150k, but they were also advertizing a special good until Sept 11, offering 15k off. Anyway, I brought 90k...any more than that and I would have walked away. I produced the printout of their website offering a 15k discount. He made it clear that this did not apply to foreigners, which I pretty much expected...others may gripe about this and call it discrimination (which it is), but if you spend any time in Japan as a gaijin you know you just have to accept that it happens and move on...it is their country after all. I politely nodded my acknowledgement, and produced the 90k yen. Another double take...he didn't think I would follow through. I was offered a drink (whatever I wanted) while he went back to work out the details. He returned shortly with pictures of three girls. Their website showed quite a few more available that evening, but since I did not have a reservation my choices were limited. I chose one girl, only to have the guy disappear for a few minutes, then return with two pictures, saying "sorry, no gaijin". Ok, so choice number one doesn't want me...neither did my wife...I can take rejection and move on. I made my second choice, and 5 minutes later was ushered out of the waiting room and introduced to...?I'm really bad with names, and was a bit nervous, so I did not catch her name when she introduced herself. I'd like to hear from anyone about what they are paying for their courses these days at Yoshiwara. I've been twice to a place called lovers. First time was a Saturday night at 7pm. 35, 000 for 70 min. After that I checked their website and saw that they had lower rates before noon (most do). So the second time I dragged my ass out of bed early Sunday morning and made it to Yoshiwara by 10: 30, thinking I could get 70 minutes for 25, 000 this time. The guy first wrote 35, 000 on a sheet of paper. After I mentioned "Morning course" he knocked it down, but only down to 32, 000. At this point I said to myself "ok, you're a gaijin, so just take it. I'll be headed back to Japan soon and might give that soapland a try though i read many pages back that Primma Donna has some non-famous JAV stars?I also made the same mistake of walking from the station to the soapland area, took forever and almost gave up. A couple years ago, I visited their sister shop (even younger girls) down a few shops about five or six times until one of the providers took offense to my honest answer of being non-Japanese. This sister shop tried to make me leave without getting served. I complained in Japanese and would not budged until they refunded my money. They finally returned my cash after a 10 minute stand-off (prolly beginning to bother other customers at that point), when I told them if they returned my money, I would not come back to their shop. It's not the money - it's the principle - I will not pay if I am not serviced. After that bitter experience, I even avoided SNHDNH for about a year.Back to SNHDNH. They just about always ask the same questions.Q1. Would you like to pick? Which girl would you like?A1: Look on the wall of polaroids. The ones with ribbons are the girls who are in today.
