Some of the reports specifically mention that it is Gaijin friendly now. In fact some reports even mention that the place will send somebody to handhold you to the hotel if you can't find one. Just get off your *ss and go there!

But what the reports do not always state clearly, is the level of Japanese, if any, required. This applies to a lot of places mentionned on this thread, which may well be gaijin-friendly, but not to non japanese speakers.

If you read the reports carefully, instead of just skimming over them, you will find all the details you need to know. One report even states they will hold your hand and walk you to a love hotel. I'm just glad to know they don't stick around and help you with your tool.

At least that was true in my case. Don't knock us. By posting here we are also taking a hit for the team so others won't go in there and get blindsided thinking that the 30, 000 yen price on the website is all-inclusive. Now you know what to expect and can decide for yourself if it is for you.Truth be told, I probably won't do it again at that price, but I am glad I went once in my life. As we all know, in Japan a tencho can change his mind on anytime. "This foreigner is OK, that foreigner is not". "Your Japanese is good enough, Japanese language is not necessary". Hell, I've been told by the tout outside that foreigners are no problem, only to go inside and be rejected because I'm Gaijin (regardless of J level).It's pretty much case by case. There have been enough posts that demonstrate very limited to no Japanese is acceptable at this place to make the point. The guy is worrying this thing to death. He has 4 posts, 3 of which ask the same question about Grinpeur. Several reports over the last 2 weeks have said that Japanese is not really necessary there. They have a sign with the price and time options which is easy to read and they point to. They see you are a foreigner and they put out the pics of the girls who are down with Gaijin. They will even walk you to the hotel and show you how to choose. Again. It's all been put in the forum the guy just has to read back through 3 whole pages of posts!

This place will allow non-Japanese but you have to speak Japanese and they will test you on it. There are 3 guys at the desk in there at any particular time and one is kind of friendly and tolerant and the others are not, probably depending on what kind of day they are having and you may get sent packing if you cannot answer the questions they ask you. Now you may luck out, that is they will not have to tell you any specifics like that the girl is 1 hour late, or the hotel you asked for is booked and you need to go down the street to an alternate hotel and they may have an extra guy around to escort you down the street but this is not the common scenario. Also you need to communicate with the girl and know enough that things like CIM are an additional fee. These girls are not screened for their English ability like AM and CB. So bottom line, if you do not have the basics down in Japanese language then just go to Hinomaru or talk to an Chinese tout in Shinjuku Kabukicho(not the black guys), order from AM or club boo who all speak English. Don't go to Grimpeur because you just make it harder for the rest of us to get in and then no one will post anything on here again and you stand a fair chance of taking a bus ride home without getting serviced.

I occasionally go there. You will not get service if you can't speak Japanese. You don't need a high level but you will need to fake it (nodding and 'eh' at the right time is usually sufficient but you need to do it when they are explaining, not asking you a specific question). If your Japanese is weak and your body language is not convincing you will be turned away. The young guy there used to ask me basic stuff like where did I hear about the shop, etc. If I answer yes or nod I would be shown the door. You need to have adequate receptive Japanese skills to know what they are asking. You don't need to be conversational from that standpoint. You just need to understand the rules and be able to choose options, time and other relevant things.This place is not one of my favorites because the ladies who service foreigners are not the hot ones, unfortunately. I usually get the older sister types in their late 20s (maybe even early 30s, I can't really tell) but interestingly, I've never had one that was overweight or even a little pudgy. They ones I've had all have had nice figures.It's a licensed health shop so the ladies are checked for disease and it is relatively safe from that standpoint but not 100% safe.[QUOTE=Dreams]Correct. In the end the girls who want to can go get tests on their own. Think about it though if you we servicing 10 to 20 guys a day for a living just because you like the money, you wouldn't really care or want to know if you had an STD eh.

...on this issue of whether grimpeur is gaijin friendly, and/or non japanese speaker friendly..If you read the answers to my question, you might agree that the question was worth asking, since each answer is different, some saying yes, others no.. and some: sometimes... I was actually not thinkng for a second to go there, I was just curious, and wanted to spot an issue in the way we report. Anyway, I have been going to Japan since many years, and although not able to speak japanese, always had a good time. I have used, and reported about all the known gaijin, non-Japanese speaking places, ( Hinomaru, NYNY, Champs, Sugamo, even in the good old days Seiko 21 and supergirls, AM etc..)just wanted to know if I could add Grimpeur to it. The answer is No. Period.

I was in Shinjuku - specfically Kabukicho section near the soon to be old Koma theater last night with a friend showing him where Asian Relax, Asian Feeling and Hinomaru are located along with a few choice secret places of my own when a tout approached us as I expected. But this guy was different. Well dressed, young, respectful and intelligent. The kind of guy where your impression after talking to him would be, "Hey, I would consider hiring him" or you wonder about the talent being wasted. He was Chinese We grilled him for about 20 min in 3 languages about the possibilities in Shinjuku. He explained that he could take us to a club with J girls, age 20-25 and it was ni-man for 40 min. FS on the menu. I did not have the time to take him up on this but showed him my various member cards and made sure he knew I could not be BS'ed and then quized him on some places I had been and he had all the right answersI think this guy could help out some of the guys who are looking for a J girl meeting for FS and with no language skills.PM me and I will give you his contact info and you can meet him in front of McDonalds or something. Says he is in the area there every night.

I called them tonight to inquire about availability and there were no vacancies, alas this is because quite a few of their girls were off due to the period. YMMV.In any case I would suggest to call during the day time or very late morning. Typically they have girls available either for the evening of the same day or for some day(s) ahead.
