My trip in a weeks time is unplanned (accidental I would say) so here I am trying to get the infos straight. Trying to learn a little Japanese in a weeks time would be futile. Oh well. Ah! This comes from a couple of years of hanging out with guys from HK and Korea, who can basically pass for Japanese.

I've met some who cannot speak much Japanese but know the drill with respect to body language, grooming, respect for social norms, remaining humble and sober and losing the attitude. I had a fun time in Shibuya yesterday. I had 90 mins spare and I was passing through tokyo. But after being here for a while, I began to notice that there are quite a few Japanese couples (where the girl is a hottie) going to MOS Burger, Ten-ya, or a ramen joint. It would be pretty tough to spend more than 3,000 yen total in such a place.OTOH, if you bring all your dates to expensive bars or restaraunts in Aoyama or Azabu-Juban, I'm sure you can match and exceed p4p. I'm heading on my 4th trip to Japan soon and I've used the soaplands in Yoshiwara a couple times. Last time I was there was in 2005. IIRC, I paid 30000 or 35000 yen.I'm an American born Chinese so I'm obviously gaijin and can't speak Japanese. In the past, I've either walked around Yoshiwara after getting off from Minowa station or another one near there just asking if they accepted foreigners. Another time, I remember having a cabbie take me from the Metro station and he dropped me off at a soap that accepted foreigners.I know my selection is really limited. Each time, only a very small # of photos have been brought out (<10). Is it ok to decline and walk if the none of the girls appeal to me or the price is too high? I've so far never done that. I'd like to not go over 35, 000 per session. It seems I can get a better price if I go in the morning/day. But would that mean my selection is even more limited?
