Get the Tageskarte system pass. The mass transportation system is amazing and you won't be worried about having to have change, punch tickets or figure out how much to go 1,2, zones (A/B zone). If you have a good phone plan, and you don't need to worry about wifi I'd suggest you download an app CITYMAPPER and put it on Berlin.
