Best Foreigner-Friendly Soap
Hey All,
I'll be in Tokyo in early September for about a week, and I wanted to see if there's a consensus as to which foreigner-friendly soapland has the best providers and menu / experiences to be had.
I'd be happy to reciprocate with intel on Seoul and Korea in general, in case anyone's coming this way anytime soon.
Looking for Korean FS Esutes in West / Southwest Tokyo
Has anyone tried out New Only One, a Korean esute in Takadanobaba?
http://www.es-only1.com/i/access.php
I am curious to find out if they are FS, as the prices and website seem right.
Also, is anybody aware of any Korean FS esutes anywhere in West / Southwest Tokyo?
I am looking for an opportunity out from under my gf's thumb to try www.es-raku.com In Gotanda.
Do you know if www.star-es.com Or the other Korean esutes in Okachimachi / Nippori are FS? I would really like to find out.
Thanks.
Thanks for sharing. My Japanese isn't up to making a reservation, so I think I'll visit on a weekday at 11am and hope for the best.
I called this morning and made a reservation (in Japanese) , and everything seemed cool. Found the place with no problem. However, when I walked into the shop and the tencho saw I wasn't Japanese, he told me that this shop couldn't provide me service. We talked about it for awhile and he told me that the girls on staff are a little frightened of foreigners. He said that they allowed foreigners in the past, but the girls generally weren't comfortable with it. He did apologize profusely and wasn't rude about it at all, and I didn't argue about it. I have never been turned down at a shop before, and my appearance isn't so much "foreign" but more like a half blood, raised in Japan. I have't had a problem getting into Japanese only shops before, either. In other words, at first glance, I usually blend in. Maybe I'm not foreign enough? Anyway, be warned. It's not THAT gaijin friendly.
