I'm thinking of visiting Happy Berry and was wondering how much Japanese is required to go there as a gaijin? Are there any particular words or phrases that would be helpful to know? Any advice would be really appreciated.

When I "joined" I was grilled politely but extensively on my prior experience with delivery health and given a card to read, written of course in Japanese. The directions to the rental room are in Japanese, some are easier than others to find. When I arrive now I'm greeted rather coldly until I produce my membership card. Also, the system can be a little hard to understand.

My advice would to not even bother unless you have fairly good Japanese. However on Tokyo Adult Guide someone claims others have managed to get bookings without any Japanese at all. Runa told me she didn't like seeing foreigners because she couldn't talk to them and she now has changed her status to unavailable to foreigners.

So make of that whatever you will. Just be polite and don't get picked up by a tout on the street.

I am an indian guy, would be staying for a while in TOKYO for a while, preferably near akasaka region. I wanted to know if there are any good soap lands in the region. They should be closer for you, these are all estute`s but I have not tried them. All but 1 are asian shops (non japanese) so should not be a problem for gaijin. The first 9 on the list all have stores that you can go to, best way to filter through them is to go to the website and if the have a page with staff pictures and the girls are wearing sexy short skirts, the chances of extra service is high.

What I normally do in these types of shops is when they tell you to strip down to your underwear, take your underwear off also and hide them in a bag (just tell them you are not wearing any) Usually they do not care. Then if they use a towel over you, ask for no towel. Then when they ask you to turn over facing up, they will usually take care of you.

It's one of those slightly lost in translation things. Basically it's a campaign they have going on for now and may disappear later.

I'm assuming there was no FS right? If there was this looks like a decent place to try out, but if not Cream Lemon appears to be a better value because it's only a bit more expensive and it's a proper soapland.
