Translation help.
Guys,
One of my current frustration is that, in spite of my JPLPT 4-5 level, and decent knowledge of Hiragana / Katakana, I am more or less unable to read and navigate Japanese websites. Kanji reading seems a long way ahead of me.
Since I will be spending 10 days in Tokyo in February, I would like to do some research, based on all the good info provided on this site.
What is the best translation tool to navigate from page to page easily? And are some of those tools better than others? I am more interested with tools that are user friebdly, even if the accuracy of the translation is so-so.
Also, I noticed that, often, only some parts of the page is translated.
Anyway, having tried google, babylon, babelfish, I would like to know if you guys know of a better one, and if not, which one of those 3 is the best.
Cheers and thanks.

My experience is that the translation services can handle direct text in webpages, but not text embedded in graphics.
I would be interested to know if any of these services have OCR capability.

Cheers and thanks.
You can also get the Rikaichan plugin for Firefox, which allows you to hover over words and it will give you the pronounciation and meaning. As the previous poster mentioned, a lot of shops have a distressing habit of creating JPG images for their price list or what have you instead of using plain text, and Rikaichan or other translation mechanisms won't work with those.
The best thing I can suggest to do, since many sites are nearly identical in layout and options, is learn / write down the most common kanji phrases for menu items (CIM, finger insertion, etc) and pricing (entrance fee, extension fee, etc) , and go from there.
How big the consequences: to my opinion, low, easy to treat with one pill.
For me the problem is getting the pill. You have to pay to go to a doctor who will then jam a sharpened cotton bud up your [CodeWord140] hole to send off for diagnosis. Just having to type that out made me shudder.
Wow, too bad.
Please tell us the precise name of this diseased provider so we can avoid her at all costs.
Eports
I am reluctant to name names. If people start doing that, there might be bogus reports being posted of providers for whatever reason. Anyway it was a few weeks ago.

Hot Dog Surprise
All.
Just wondering if anyone has experience at Omiya Hips?
www.hips-omiya.jp
Site looks interesting enough, although I'd choose wisely if I were you. I noted one of the "ladies" listed is a shemale.

I know that it is "medically" not recommended, but I get some antibiotics without prescription from countries like India or similar, carry them with me wherever I go, and treat myself on the very first sign. Always worked. And if it does not, then it is time to to go through the hassle with doctors, lab etc. I am an MD, BTW, which helps.
Thanks. How do I go about doing this?
Unfortunately ISG doesn't support Japanese character sets anymore, so it's not something we can compile here- I _think_ if you look in the archives, there might be some, but that's kind of broken here, too. Until then, check your PM.
Thanks. How do I go about doing this?
One way might be to copy / save the graphics to your hard drive, then insert them into a Word document you set up as a kind of dictionary. Possibly you can learn by trial and error what each one means, or maybe someone can translate for you.
There's a thread for translations in this section, so you could possibly upload the graphics there and ask for help. That way would be beneficial for a lot of readers here.
What do others think?
But it seems like here you can get AF for maybe 25000 in total.
Thats rather on the high end side of things, especially because you can't tell anything from the pictures. You can get that for about 14-18k at health clubs unless you really prefer to pay a lot extra for an escort that might look totally different in reality.
All girls at Yu Min in Ikeburo for example offer AF as a standard service for 18k 40min.

You can get it 3k yen cheaper with a voucher from japanese sites which makes it 15k or 10k cheaper than your escort.

I was playing over the holiday and picked up a nasty flu bug (I don't know who from).40 degree fever is not fun. I usually get a flu shot in December but didn't get around to it for whatever reason.

Yu Min question

http://www.yu-min.tv/girl.html
Slacker. Thanks for the information. Is this a place with everything on-site or do you need to do the love hotel arrangement to partake of the offerings? Also, is it very Gaijin friendly?
