As you said, maybe she was off that day or she might be thinking of a career move (talking about Coco - see previous post). Anyhow, that's part of the game. In Ueno Red light district, I don't think there is anything worth mentionnning for gaijins, except the small strip theater at the entrance of the main street, and, of course the well known "cheap soaplands" that are NYNY and Champs.

This may help you if you decide to visit ueno RLD again.

But I would rather go to Yoshiwara which is nearby.

I'm staying in the Mandarin Oriental and I am a total foreigner. Zero language knowledge, white as snow. I have been staying in Shanghai for a few days before my trip to tokyo and there everything has been easy as counting to 3.

I guess that this is different here. My suspicion has been confirmed after I checked the facts in this thread as well as on the sites mentioned (erolin e. G). But I never found any explicit saying that hotels are striclty against it, only that you should use "love hotels", which I guess are hotels which don't care.

Also, I find the prices absurdly high and its not very tempting for me to use the services here, if I have to spend 40k+ to get a girl to blow me in some low grade hotelroom.

Am I missing something obvious here? Please help me to make my 5 day stay more enjoyable.

If you consider the Mandarin Oriental a "low grade hotel room", I wonder what what you call a high-grade hotel? And for 40K, you don't get a girl to blow you, you get full service of course.

I'm talking about that I probably can't get girls into my hotel, and even if, it is unclear if its FS. I refered to the lovehotels as low grade rooms.

Long time back, I was not even speaking a word of japanese, and I was regularly staying at The Imperial.

Called AM, asked and got the legendary Manami. 2 shots, BBBJ, FS etc. By a 100 % Japanese woman. For less than 30K yens. Some 7-8 years after, and about 100+ more punts, I still remember those 2 hours.

Today the exchange rate is about 50 % better for foreigners.

Hello to all the senior members here. I am moving to Hiroshima in two months but will spend a lot of time in Tokyo working. I travel between Japan and Philippines all the time.
