I have never engaged with a WG in India due to the laws of the land. In Netherlands, Australia and even Japan it is quite safe for both the WG and us. Now I want to venture in India but of course I am terribly nervous. I have a few questions on protecting ones identity in such situations. This is beyond keeping separate phone, email etc for mongering.

1. If a WG comes to the hotel and checks in at the hotel reception, won't she also get to know my name. With social media LinkedIn, Facebook she can easily find my real self. How does one prevent this? Or this is a risk we have to take and be on our toes for the rest of our lives. She may just ping on LinkedIn.

2. A few ask for advance for cab or short notice booking. A UPI or Bank transfer will sure shot reveal your identity. Are there other options? I know most people in this forum have advised against but if it's a genuine request how to address it.

I know these questions may sound naive to experienced folks but if anyone could guide will help a lot of newbies to stay safe.

1. If she checks in with you, you give the ID directly to reception and take it back yourself, then ask girl to come forward and give hers. I usually check in before the girl reaches so she only gives the room number to the reception and they take her ID to scan or photocopy. You don't need to give your name. I used my old voter card which has incorrect details except my name and pic so not much of my social is exposed.

2. Don't entertain advance payments, if they are taking a cab which you agreed to pay do it in cash once you meet. More often than not the ones who ask advance are fakes or scamsters.

I have been an avid reader of the forum from quite some time now after I had already started mongering. Finally decided to take the plunge and take membership here to share and be part of the mongering community.

I would like to post a few FRs from past few months:

1. Ruan spa, Marathahalli. Although this place has thai therapists, the scene is pretty dull. Selection is not allowed here. There are no doors, only curtains. Had taken oil massage.
