Kolkata forum is getting dry by day. Lot of discussions are going on but no one is sharing there experience in Kolkata. Any way, Got a call from a friend to join him for a **** at his place. If you had subscribed we could give you specific pointers, but that is not the case so you would have to do with what this forum offers. Let me assure you however that you will not find any party treff in Calcutta, though if you take a taxi from the Oberoi to Sonagachi you will definitely find what you are looking for with a reasonable variety. A couple of other mongers are also visiting Calcutta around this time so maybe you can hook up with them. These threads give clues about who they are (Suiss and Inblr1, to name two).

Hello, mate. It was amusing to see your post and the reference to a contact that you got from LE. I realize the typo, but newbies may begin to assume that in Calcutta it is an "official" method of welcoming visitors.

Humor apart, you ought to experience the ambience of SG. It is a lot different from Bombay's Foras Road area (Kamathipura for the uninitiated) and better organized and managed. The CPM skills at organization may have something to do with that. You also know pretty much what to expect once you get to negotiating, though language is a barrier if one does not know at least a smattering of Bengali, even though some form of Hindi is spoken by the "madams". The Park is booked for stay. Got 100 USD as daily tariff and was surprised with bargain.

If you look towards the top of the screen you will find a link that says User CP. You can open the User Control Panel and subscribe to whatever thread you want updates by adding it to your "subscribed threads" list, and it will show up with regular updates if you have set it up for automatic notification. You can edit the subscriptions list according to your needs for notifications by putting a check mark in the box on the right on the screen that has the whole list of your subscribed threads.
