Rio Branco.

The capital of Acre is a small city in the west of Brazil. The city is unattractive, poor and has few sights to offer. People here find it hard to understand that a gringo comes all the way to o fim do mundo.

The girls are mostly darkskinned with some indian blood. There are many extremely beautiful girls to be found. Slim, round-assed girls with beautiful faces.

However the majority of the girls are short, overweighted with rough and ugly faces. Seems like the girls are either topgrade or bottomgrade.

PRO´S

There are only two stripclubs/brothels. None of them really good.
- Momentus: Fazenda-like style. A dozen girls working. Standard was not very good. 70 reais for the girl and 35 reais for the room. You pay and they strip.
- Bereu: Traditionell stripclub. Same standard as Momentus.

In the center of Rio Branco there is a big mercado close to the river. A mixture of stalls, shops and bars. Head to the bars closest to the river and you´ll find many sleazy bars with pro´s. The majority of the girls are unattractive with scars and filthy clothes. However there are some gems to be found. Pay 15 reais and head down in the cellar of the bar for one hour of fun. Bar do Pato has some cute girls working.

Streetworkers can be found nighttime spread out in the center.

Many of the taxidrivers offers to bring some girls to your hotel to choose from. Could be worth checking out.

NON-PRO´S

Picking up a non-pro is extremely easy in Rio Branco. They´ll pick you up. The nightlife is great! Here is a selection of party-places:

- 14bis/X43/Hangar57 (thursday, friday, saturday): Three discoteques in one place. Live music. Forró and dance. Loads of beautiful willingly women.
- Mamao Café (saturday): Forró. In front of 14 bis.
- Lua Azul (fridays): Live music, forró. One of the places you can´t miss to get laid.
- Boate Summer (fridays): The citys most fancy discoteque. Frequented by the rich and beautiful.
- Flutuante (sundays): A riverboat that works as a restaurant and discoteque. Forró. Absolutely wild and crazy. The women will attack you. Also some pro´s working there.
- Chalé (saturday and sunday): A club that looks like a big farm. Dominated by a small lake surrounded by bars and a area for dancing, live music forró. People come here at noon and party until nighttime. Swim in the lake, eat, get drunk, dance and get laid. There is a motel next to the club. Chalé is frequented mainly by the lower class. Great fun.

Hotels: Many hotels are to be found in the center. I stayed at Hotel Trianguló, 30 reais for a decent room.

Motels: several motels in the outskirts of town.

You can get here by plane, bus (8 hours from Porto Velho) or riverboat (arrives at a small city outside Rio Branco).

I can´t see that Rio Branco is a dangerous city. The people are very friendly and the girls are very willingly.

Rio Branco is worth a visit if you like darkskinned girls with indian features. The pro scene is not good. However the nightlife is excellent and the non-pro´s are very easy to pick up.

Macaé

Situated on the coast about 3 hours drive east from Rio this is Brazil’s main offshore oil and gas support centre. To me it still has the feel of a small interior town despite its growing population which is currently around 150,000. Oil fields traditionally draw prostitutes and here is no exception with many arriving in the town particularly from Vitória in the state of Espírito Santo. There are also many non-pro and semi-pro local women looking for foreign boyfriends amongst the resident and temporary expatriate community.

I spent a lot of time here during 2002 and 2003 and the main meeting places for pros in the Cavaleiros beach area were Willy’s Bar near the restaurant Ilhote Sul and later on at night the karaoke bar near the restaurant Albatroz. The dance held at AABB, further down Cavaleiros beach towards the port, on Wednesday nights also attracts working girls and there are usually one or two in the Hotel Du Lac’s bar, near the lagoon. In the centre of town near the bridge over the river Macaé is Barbie Show with strippers but more suitable for the local Brazilian oilfield workers. The Panorama Hotel’s bar / restaurant near the port also has pros although I certainly wasn’t impressed by their beauty.

There is a brothel on the way to Rio das Ostras, the neighbouring town which I never had the occasion or inclination to visit having my hands full with a number of different girlfriends. I wasn’t that impressed by the few pros I sampled which may have been my own fault for over indulging on caipirinhas or wine beforehand! One semi-pro however was absolutely outstanding with her lying on the bed masturbating her clit furiously as I came over her face. I have a fine collection of photos of her both in action and doing model poses once dressed again but I only post photo shoots with a women’s permission and these must therefore remain private at her request.

I usually had an apartment there so didn’t have much experience with hotels charging for guests, however whilst staying at the Hotel du Lac on an earlier visit they charged an extra fee for an overnight visitor. I tend to use motels rather than taking a girl back to my room however these are generally very poor quality in this town. Motel Tropical is probably the best one near to Cavaleiros beach and has a few so called luxury but expensive suites with jacuzi, terrace, sofa and mirrors. There is no mini-bar so you have to call for food, drinks etc. The standard rooms are much cheaper but overall this is nothing like the standard of motel room you get in Rio. I’m told that there is now a much better motel in Rio das Ostras but have yet to try it.

Can’t say that there’s a lot of reason to go to Macaé just for women but if you happen to be on a visit or be employed there then you are certainly not going to go short of sex. The local population is very pleasant indeed and you can make some real friendships there. I always look forward to an excuse to catch up with old and new girlfriends in the town.

In Campinas, you may check out the boite on Rua Monte Castelo. It has a patio, local rooms, reasonably priced drinks. When I was here, 6-7 girls, none really hot. They asked r$ 120 for 90 minute with one pop only, and made it seem that a second one for 20 would be a great deal. I did not partake.

My SP pal Ricardo, decided on a Saturday to drive down to show me Sao Paulo's busy port of SANTOS & the nearby elite beach resort of GUARUJA.

I was interested in taking the toll road Rua Imigrante, which is considered an modern engineering marvel. The 45 mile highway rapidly descends from Sao Paulo's 2700 ft altitude to sea level, via a hair raising series of 9 tunnels & numerous bridges. The highway tunnels thru the bowels of the mountains for miles, before emerging for a couple of hundreds of yards of fresh air, and then plunging back into another long tunnel.

Unfortunately, its a cold, damp day with a drizzle. So instead of seeing the Garota elite of Sampa in bikini's on Guaraju's beaches, its just a few females in windbreakers at the beach front seafood cafes.

Undaunted, we take the car ferry to the busy port of Santos. Its raining heavily now, and the area of bars/clubs, beside the port area frequented by the sailors appears empty & dicey at best.

Vitoria and Vila Velha are very industrial towns, with many ships and sailors. I did see some transvestites on the beach, and some not so good looking hookers at some pick-up bars. But overall, the quality is very low because it is very close to rio de janeiro and all the girls who want to work will go to Rio to make money.

Also, because there is so much port activity, many people have nice jobs, so the prices are somewhat inflated.

There were no " beautiful" people like Rio that I noticed on the beach, for some reason many fat women that I saw.

Can anyone give any info about P4P fun in Vitoria or nearby beach town Vila Velha, about 200 miles north of Rio? A friend has offered me their apartment across the street from the beach for 2 weeks in January. Its sounds very cool, but I took the same offer a few years ago in Ubatuba, another small beach town 100 miles south of Rio, and I couldn't get laid there in a week, had to wait until I got back to Club Kilch in Sao Paulo.
In Ubatuba, there were plenty of cute girls, but none wanted $, or the stigma of being seen with a "gringo". It was a very frustrating week. It just seemed that since it was a smaller community where everyone probably knows everyone else's business, that the $ wasn't worth the damage to their reputations.

I sure don't want a repeat of that in Vila Velha, which sounds like it is a laid back but also happening place, and as so, more geared towards midlle to upper middle class vacationing Brasilians, you know, the "beautiful people". If these girls aren't looking for $$, then I expect to have a tough time. I love to contribute to help with their struggling economy, but that only works when they are struggling a bit!

Porto Seguro:

I have been there twice now, the last a few months ago, and I have to say it compares very well with Cuba, DR and Argentina. First of all, the girls are not drop dead gorgeous. I would say they average 5-6 with a few 8 or 9 thrown in. But these girls are all for the most part all GFE and part time pro's. With these girls, you can hang out all week, TLN is a given. They rarely ask for money, but I know they expect it so I gave it. Most were given 100 reais but some less. The beach is nice, and the night life is great...it is very brazilian and almost all Brazilian tourists with some Europeans mixed in. Consequently, the prices are reasonable.

Porto Seguro and Arraial D'Ajuda, bahia.

These two neighbouring cities have gone through big changes the last 12 years.
First some history.

When I first came there back in 1992 (442 years after Pedro Alvarez Cabral) it was the paradise. Lambada-dancing at the lambateria, Boca da Barra. Just pick up a girl, non-pro, for some sex on the beach and then go back inside for a new girl.

Then came Reggae night. A bigger and more fancy place next to the lambateria.
More comercialized, and not that genuin.

Soon came the big dancing-palaces outside town, Jungle, Alcatraz, Transylvania etc.
Then somebody put fire on the lambateria and Reggaenight. Competition.

Porto Seguro are mainly for brazilian package-tourists who spend a week in the city. They only go there for having fun. Daytime dancing lamba-aerobica at Axé Moi, in the evening getting drunk on Passarella d'Alcool and then getting laid.

In Arraial d'Ajuda the crowd are more hippie-like. Drug-users and back-packing gringos who dance all night at the beach-partys, Luau's.

A lot of the tourists who go to Porto Seguro are paulistas, mineiras and bahianas who would love to have a romance with a gringo. Just flash your blue eyes or say something silly and you have your girl.

If you don't succed getting a tourist-girl just go for the locals, nativas. They don't waste their time.

If the capetas and caipifrutas made you missing picking up a girl you still have a choise, the pro's. The pro's have become more and more common the last years. Some are from Salvador or small cities outside Porto Seguro, like Itabuna or Eunapolis. Also many of the local nativas who used to have sex for fun became aware of the possibility of earning some money.

In Porto Seguro you can find the pro's mainly at 4 places.

1. On Passarellla d'Alcool. The girls who are flirting most and are dressed to sexy are propably pro's. When they see a gringo, they will approach quickly. They propably ask for 50 reais.

2. You also find pro's at the local boate/strip-club. I found the place extremely boring. Expensive and dull girls. More or less 150 reais.

3. Late at night, or in the morning, many girls gather at the bars in front of Shopping Oceanica. There you can find some cheap girls, but not always beautiful.

4. The last choice is going to the brothels at the favelas, in the swamp and at Baiano. There you have a big choice and low prices. Use caution because the areas are very dangerous!

In Arraial d'Ajuda you pick up the non-pro's on Broadway (street with bars), the praca, Gringo louco, Gira Sol or at the beach-parties.

The pro's, in Arraial, you'll meet on the street. They'll find you. Many of the cuties are using a lot of drugs. They might be desperate and even put drugs in your drink. The prices are about 50 reais.

In Porto Seguro and Arraial d'Ajuda you'll find nice beaches, good restaurants, excellent party and many girls hungry for sex. What else do you need?

Teresina.

The hottest city in Brazil! That is only the temperature. The city itself is quite boring. Stroll around in the city and chat with the women and you'll see that many of them are very nice and willing. As few gringos pass here seeing a gringo is a small sensation. Easy to pick-up a non-pro. You better do this before the evening because the nightlife was dead. At least in the center.

Anyway, after my "girlfriend" went home to her boyfriend I walked around the center in the evening and found a nice surprise. Walk up Avenida Frei Serafim, 3 blocks after the church, Igreja NS das Dores, on the lef side you'll find a big Brahma-sign. Enter a small alley into a yard where you'll find a big out-side bar. (Don't remember the name, but follow the given directions.) Nice atmosphere, live music and there were about 20 women, all pro's, and very few male customers. Nice surprise! Many of the women were really good-looking. A night of pleasure is 30 reais.

Don't recommend a trip to Teresina. However if you happens to pass by you know where to find some good action.

TABATINGA, BRASIL (and LETICIA, COLUMBIA):

These two towns form part of the so-called "Triple Frontier" between Brasil, Columbia and Peru. Peru has no town represented here.

The area seems basically safe enough. I encountered no problems on either side of the Brasilian-Columbian border.

The place to stay in this area is definitely Leticia. One can cross back and forth between the borders without any problems -- but make sure your documents are straight when leaving the area (get Columbian passport necessities done at the Leticia airport, and Brasilian formalities done at the federal police deptartment on Rua International in Tabatinga -- Lonely Planet is not up-to-date on this).

I wasn't able to find any action in Tabatinga. The main road is Rua International (which turns into Rua Amizade in Leticia). There's a club -- the Oasis Disco -- right near the border that's supposed to have some action. Went in to check it out, and it was totally dead.

On this same road is Escandalo -- Tabatinga's main disco. Supposedly there's action to be found here, too. It was closed on both nights that I went (Tues., Weds.).

Taxi drivers mentioned other places, which I couldn't undertand (due to that damnable jungle-Portugese they speak). It might be worth doing a little more research on it. Keep your eyes open, though; Tabatinga looked a little rough. Rua International might have a good early-evening SW scene.

Leticia, on the other hand, was very mellow with a decent little scene.

Rua Amizade, after about 200 hundred feet away from the border, becomes tree-lined and fairly residential. It is along this stretch that about 3 small, live-in brothels may be found.

The best is called "Te Esperamos," and is more or less central to the others. Find this place, in other words, and you'll see the rest. Get a taxi driver to take you there for about 1 USD. No addresses available.

Most of these girls charge about 10 USD for a couple of hours, with beds on site for a dollar or two. Drink prices were a little elevated, but still relatively cheap. And, believe it or not, there were more than a few good looking girls here. The area seemed totally safe.

Most of the bars down by that last main street before the incline toward the river have available girls hanging out in them. The scene is very basic and easy to approach. Basically, any place with neon lighting, single girls and loud music is a pick-up joint.

Have fun -- and know that you're doing some real travelling if you've got yourself here!

Santarém.

A stop-over between Manaus and Belém.

Big port and a city that's not very impressive. On the weekends you'll find some dancing at the forró-clubs. During the week you can find some action at Praca do Pescador. There you'll find the popular hang-out "Mascote", restaurant and bar. Mascote and the square outside are frequented by some working-girls. Unfortunately there are quite few to choose between. But if you're lucky you can find some very nice ones. If you get desperate just head along the port and you find several streetworking-girls, of lower class.

A good ideá is to head for Alter do Chão. A small fishing village outside Santarém, one hour journey. This village is very small and beautiful, lying next to Rio Tapajós. The beach is famous for being the most beautiful river beach in Brazil.

In Alter do Chão you'll find several cosy restaurants and bars with live music. Several backpackers found their way to Alter do Chão in hope of being pioneer hippies. If you want some fun just choose a bar without backpackers. On weekends there are dancing at the local Forró-club. Very wild party! (The poor backpackers are just standing in a corner looking frightened.) A lot of very willing native girls. Just mix with the locals and soon you'll be hooked up with some nice women.

At a place like this where the there are so many normal girls available it's difficult to tell if there are working-girls. Propably some "papa-gringos" that wouldn't mind some money.

The rest of the week there ain't much happening.

If you wan't to see a different city with a small beuatiful village nearby, go to Santarém. Just don't expect a thrilling red-light district.

Macapá:

This city is a small hidden jewel. I loved the city. The center is quite small and pleasant. You can take a stroll in the evening at the river where you find lots of open-air bars with party going on.

Unlike what some guidebooks tell the nightlife is excellent. There are many Forró-clubs crowded with women. The gringo-attraction is very high as very few gringos visit Macapá. I never got so many sex-invitations before, by non-working girls, in Brazil. The Forró-clubs are a bit out of the center. One of the best ones is called "Bit Sensation".

The scene of working girls are also very good. In the center and some streetcorners out of the center the streetwalkers work. Not very high standard.

Instead you have plenty of brothels. One of the best ones is "Casa das maquinas". A fancy place with lots of women with high standard. This casa is the most expensive, 140 reais for a girl and a room.

In my opinion a much better choice is "Casa da Chá". More simple and relaxed but with very high standard on the girls. The price is only 65 reais for a girl and a room. Very pleasant place.

A place to avoid is "Casa do Neto". An ugly shackle with ugly girls.

The city has many more places where you find lots of working-girls, "Boite Bolivar", Bar da Loira", "Bar do Chico" and "Casa da Bahiana".

I truly recommend a visit to Macapá.

I was in Maceio recently but must say that I was dissapointed from a mongering point of view.

I stayed in Centro, at the Hotel Beiriz which was good value butwent untested in terms of wether it was girl friendly or not. I did get a cab out to the Cocktail Club, but I found it a little expensive for what was on offer. I ended up going (on site)with 'Kelly' who I notice Italy on the Road raves about (IMHO she would rate only a six at best in the looks department).

To be fair her performance in the sack was quite good whereas I was tired and shagged out and probably should have been holed up in my hotel recuperating from exertions over previous weeks.

I did notice that there appeared to be sand in the bed (on-site) (and you know how sand can get into everything!)

But if your looking for a cute looking Loira in NE Brazil who goes hammer for tong in the sack, may I suggest Manuella (I presume this is how she spells it) at the New Scandanavian Club in Recife (I will make a post in the Recife section soon. IMHO Manuella is an 8+ despite having no tits. Please note that the recommendation is only for Manuella and not a general recommendation for girls of the New Scandanavian Club).

Getting back on the subject of Maceio, a taxi driver gave me a flyer for 209 Uruguai but I can't say I'm overly impressed with the 7 girls featured on the flyer (IHMO two of them may have garnered a 7 on my looks rating).

Streetwalkers were unimpressive and untried (one near the IBIS ambushed me and coupled onto my arm explaining her price was $50R.

Like the girls, the beaches in Maceio to Praia Jatiuca were IMHO unimpressive, but I did notice as I headed out South out of town that Prsis do Frances (22KM) and the beaches further to the South looked excellent (but I don't know if there were any mongering going on).

Has anybody information on the girl-front in Rio Branco or Porto Velho?

Saw the reports of Canoa Quebrada. Excellent place.

Three pieces of advice for CQ visitors:

1. Be careful with the age of the girls. Recently the police took gringos with minors.

2. Use the condom in CQ, several cases of HIV.

3. Almost all gringos will be approached by a mulatta named Sandra. Crazy and dangerous.

I had a good time in CQ, late September. Thursday night had very little happening, Friday night was quite a bit better with a couple of full barzinhos with dancefloors.

I got screwed around by going back to the pousada with a local girl. She was sweet at the bar, but once back at the pousada she didn't kiss, which is pretty much unheard of for a regular Brazilian pickup. Then the next day she started talking about money for a taxi. I said goodbye to her after giving her very little and it was pretty cold. I was a bit annoyed because the vibe in the bar was excellent and I'm sure I could have had a much better time for free with a regular girl.

From Fortaleza there are only 3 buses per day direct to Canoa Quebrada. But if the times are not convenient, get the bus to Aracati (more frequent) and then transfer to CQ by kombi or taxi (10 minutes away).

If you are going to Canoa Quebrada or Praia de Pipa, definitely go on the weekend.

Pipa had one decent bar on the Tuesday night, but Wednesday was dead. I should add that any kind of "tourist" service in Pipa is more expensive than elsewhere in Brazil. Example, internet 15 reais per hour, laundry 18 reais just to wash in one small machine.
