Posts: 3802Try it one more time
If you can read and write Spanish you should have no problem on the DC Site unless your old like me and trying to hook-up with the 18-21 year old's who may be more reluctant to meet you. Try going on-line and chatting with a few. I have had great luck with the ones between 25 and 29. If however your into sport fucking, don't waste your time on the DC Site. The "skanks" as I refer to them that pursue the Hotels and the girls on the Strip are perfect for short time sessions and can be good for long time sessions if you hit it off with them.

Since I always have good luck on FC, I decided to join DC before my upcoming Sosua trip. I guess I'm just spoiled with the Filipinas because despite being able to read and write Spanish my results on DC could best be described as "crashed and burned". Looks like I'll have to pretty much settle for Rumba or hotel "skanks" as one forum member described them.

Posts: 2803What makes you think anyone will understand a mixture of Spanish, French, Italian, and Creole?

Posts: 2390Really, it does not mean "pimp". It means something like "darling" or "sweetheart". I live among respectable middle-class Dominicans, most of them religious, and they call each other "chulo" and "chula" all the time. When adults admire (or politely pretend to admire) their friends toddlers and babies in their pushchairs they will call them "chulo".

But the fact that gringos think it means "pimp" is a reflection on the nature of prostitution in the DR. Full-time pimping is not the norm here, although it does exist. Putas are nearly all self-employed. If they pass some or all of the money on to a man, it will usually be to their own boyfriend, or to a family member, to whom they are emotionally attached, which is why they are called "chulos" (their "sweethearts").

Posts: 3700The key is you're able to detach and hop on a plane and go to another life. In America the BS is there for everyday life and sometimes its not so easy to detach. I choose to not even fuck with chics in the States because its on the home turf and it usually turns into a competition for control of the relationship.

I've been with a Thai girl for six years that won't go away because she doesn't want me being happy without her. So her goal is to be a pest and spoil my happiness. She drives by my place unannounced, calls and hangs up, and asks my neighbors of I have girls there. Guys traveling don't have this kind of BS to deal with, you just hop on a plane and its over. So I agree with the poster that says its better to travel and have fun then detach.

Posts: 18165So you assert that it is better to put up with foreign female bullshit? All women are foing to give you bs. It's just a matter of what kind you are willing to put up with.

Posts: 2406The girls you've met are obviously not the average Sosua chica, who lives from trick to trick, in a very competitive business, with no other means of support.

These latter comprise most of the young women you'll meet in Sosua, rather than the small percentage you imply.
Sosua is, after all, one big brothel.

Which is more than you can say about a lot of our N.American wives and girlfriends, who we tend to trust and support blindly.
In the long run Sosua chicas are much cheaper too.
And way more fun!

I've had 3 real novias in DR non were putas and I am a big fat Gringo. 1 was a hairdresser, I met her walking through a gas staion while I was buying gas she went to get lunch.
She never asked me for money. Once, I gave her some money because she had her purse stolen with her money and cell phone. This happened right in front of me, motorcycle buy swiped it and took off. I bought her a new pocket book and a some money less than 2 k if I recall correctly. I would meet her after work for a meal and some cabana time and then drive her to her sister. She bought me a birthday present, she would buy me drinks or little snacks, the whole salon would treat me like a king when I visited. I would get hair cuts, with a wash etc. Very enjoyable girl. A little crazy but very nice.
Never a gold digger. In fact she broke up with me and never got more that a paid meal from me. Normal date expenditures.
Girl friend #2 was a client of above girlfriend. I should have stayed with her, her dad owns a hotel (cabana) and car dealership. She asked to borrow 20 k once after going out for a while. I reluctantly gave it to her knowing I was never going to see it again. But after several months of really good time I figured what the heck, I she did not pay me back I would dump her and have learned a lesson in the process. She payed me back ahead of time without me even asking for it. I made an arrangement with her dad to buy a used car from him. I got it for 17 k pesos less than the listed value you pay a tax on a car when doing the paperwork and the tax office has a table with the value of the car, you pay a % of the greater value. He could of tried to rip me off instead he gave me a deal. I am still amigos con derechas with her. She just got married to a foreigner from spain and she is leaving this month but still wants a last fling with me. I would take her out and pay for normal date expenditures, no cabana needed as I would star for free at her dads place. The most expensive gift I got her was a dog, 3 k.
Last one, I've been with her for over 4 years now, she is in the university now which I pay for but I'm wifed up with her. She minds my money and doesn't go crazy. As for her family, I don't give money to anyone. I made an investment in her father on a clothing business which he pays me part of the profits regularly. So far, I've made my money back and then some. I see about 5 k every month from this business.
So I've gotten lucky 3 times so far.
I have a long list of situations like this, not to say dominicans haven't scammed me or tried. That has happened, but truly never with a working girl down here.
My dad was cop and he thought everyone was a bad person, I told him since you deal with bad people all of the time you get that opinion of most people.
So the girls you deal with are probably hard core they have gotten hardened to their clients. Your comments are true of a small percentage of working girls in DR. Most working girls wouldn't classify themselves as Putas.
Anyway only my opinion, feel free to rip into my thoughts.
