I understand that ownership of Casa Blanca (formerly the Mansion) has changed and is now known simply as "Hotel M. ".

I am aware that the web site is now: http://www.hotelmedellinm.com/.

There haven't been any reports here in the past two months, so I am wondering if this place operates pretty much like before.

I haven't made my first scouting trip to Medellin yet but was curious and was considering pulling the trigger and making my first visit in a couple months down there.

Are there still girls on site to cater to the hotel guests like before? How many girls are there on a typical weekend (Thursday through Saturday for example)? Are the girls there typically during the afternoon time and nighttime or are they only there during the daytime. Previous reports made me think that sometimes girls started there day here and then moved on to other places at night.

Any experienced visitors care to comment on the current state of affairs? As my Spanish is pretty rudimentary, I figured I would be better off with this kind of place to start off with, rather than trying the more "advanced" venues. Plus, I understand that Liquid Lounge is dead now. Before, I thought I would just come down here and if the Mansion thing didn't work out, I'd at least have the Liquid Lounge as a backup, but now that the Liquid Lounge is dead, I'm having second thoughts about making the trip down here.

Only the name has changed, not the ownership. The status of Liquid Lounge is really not that relevant. It was merely one very small part of the mongering scene in MDE. If the Mansion didn't work out, you would still have dozens of casas, many strip clubs, the Mayorista, etc. There is no shortage of places to find chicas in MDE.

Having said that, I do think the Mansion is the best place for you as you will have a support system with your fellow guests there. Some will be experienced in mongering in MDE and they will be able to show or explain to you what you need to know.

As far as numbers of girls at the Mansion, you never know. Sometimes the place will be loaded with smokin' chicas and sometimes there's next to nothing. Sometimes the Day is better and sometimes the Night.

Just go. In all likelihood, you'll have a great time. And don't worry about your Spanish. While it obviously would help your interraction with the girls, lots of guys with no language ability at all have the time of their lives in Colombia (or Brasil, DR, Thailand, etc).

Actual ownership has NOT Changed. The owners are the same from the very start. Every few years they change the name of the corporation for legal reasons. Everything else, staff, policies, etc. , remain the same.

Great to see Aussie Greg back running things at the Mansion / Medellin Plaza. IMO Greg runs a tighter ship. I also like the way girls rotate through when he is there. He manages to find a nice girl friend de jour and her friends visit to help with foreign relations. When Greg changes girlfriends, there is a whole new group of ambassadors helping us gringos out. Hehe.

I hope she's still avail when I get there sometime in Aug. I decided not to down there during the flower festival. I'm sure its not like going to the Superbowl or anything. There's no one particular body-type that dominates there. You'll likely find what you're looking for, but if you don't, you can always hit the strip clubs, massage parlors, Mayorista, et al. It's a decent sized city.

Is La Cueva open every night?

Yes, I have even drank there during Ley Seca and after hours. But if there isn't much going on they will close at about 1 am.

Yeah, of course the weekends have more spirit, more energy, and that applies to all venues including La Cueva. But at La Cueva on any given night you can meet the most beautiful women.

A Wednesday night can be the best night of the week in terms of chica beauty. Everyday is a good day there, imo.

Actually I think the worst night at the Mansion / la Cueva is Saturdays as the girls frequently are doing something with their boyfriends.

That said, there seems to be no hard and fast rule. I've been there when there's once or two average girls around the whole day and night. And I've been there when there are 10-15 hot chicas partying all night. You never know.

Getting to Medellin for my only weekend in Colombia may be logistically stressful, but I could do it if I plan now. Or would I just as well off during the week?
