To whatever information I know till now (from friend of ex-LE), LE in India is always aware of mongering activities. Contrary to our perception (that LE is lousy and lazy), monitoring activities in India is done actively with their informants spread throughout the country. These informants are fields workers. So when new MP comes up in any area, these informant (full time or part time people) generally visit and get the information on everything goes on there such as 1) Does MP provides FS, 2) how much MP owner could be earning per day 3) Any chance of anti-national activities 4) Background of MP owner and girls working there. This info is passed on to senior cops on duty there. Senior cops generally demand some share if MP provides B2B or FS etc. Raid is conducted if MP owner fails to send their share to cops or some moral brigade or media starts complaining about MP.

Almost all SPs always provide some share of money to senior cops on duty there. Managing these things without LE's permission is virtually impossible in country like India. Raids are generally conducted by Social Service Branch of LE. So many cops generally struggle for getting posted there. !

In case of SPs, cops generally warn SP before raid to get absconded. So you see frequently "Girls rescued but owner is absconding, hunt is on."

Back to your point, LE with good number of field workers in a city may not need to get info from us. They generally be having more info than us!

It was waiting to be exploded. Off late the service was really bad still so many people used to visit and hence caught. Unnecessary attention. Or some frustrated monger would have passed on the information to LE.
