Staff are very friendly and the door guy tells me I can bring chicas back gratis as long as they don't sleep there all night (then there would be a small charge). Will be ok for a few nights.
The big Q is. Where shall I start tonite!

If you use Google earth you can get great street views.
You can walk up and down the street with Google Earth.

Posts: 18154No hooker clubs. It is a long road but all the bars and clubs are concentrated along 2 blocks. Hotel Don Jaime is on one of those blocks. There are usually some iffy street walkers a couple of blocks down, in front of the ice cream shop / opposite of the park.

Posts: 1945Thanks for your reply Bay Boy. These bars / clubs in 6th Ave. Are any of them good for working girls? Any names for me (of the bars / clubs)? Which end of the road (it looks like a long road)?

Posts: 807Dr. Amor is open till 8 pm. Its closed on Sundays. La20 is open till 12 midnight. But if you are staying in the Ave. Sexta area there are plenty of bars and nightclubs open late on Friday and Sat. Night. Some open till 3 am.

I'm heading to Cali tomorrow for a few nights; it will be my first visit there.
I'm staying in 6th Avenue area.
I see the recommended places seem to be Doctor Amor and Bar La 20.
But can anyone advise for weekends and evenings? Or are these places also open in the evenings and weekends?
Muchas gracias amigos.

BTW,
Apartahoteldelrio is a good option to stay at when in Cali. It is very close to Pharaohs and Clinica Amor and some other casas in the north part of town.

Posts: 58I normally stay at the Torre de Cali Plaza Hotel. It's extremely comfortable and pretty close to bars and good night life. http://en.hoteltorredecali.com.

Last year I stayed at the Hotel Now in the Granada neighborhood, which is a short walk in a safe area to the clubs and restaurants. The hotel is fairly new, very modern, contemporary, and stylish, and has a disco and a small pool on the top floor, albeit unheated and more like a dipping pool.
It is expensive for Cali though they are offering a special promotion of 317,000COP (@$100) per night.
The staff was great too.
I may stay there on my visit to Cali in early October. I was trying to find a similar type hotel and price in Bogota if anyone has information though did discover today that the W Hotel in Bog has a special promotion of about $100 per night. This is a five star hotel. It must be an acknowledgement of the dramatic decline in value of the COP or a decrease in business and tourists-guests.

Posts: 381If you had the time to post looking for information, you have the time to read the forum, especially so when your trip is 2 weeks away.
