Of the host of STDs one could contract, HIV is I think the mongers are mostly fearful. My understanding is that it all depends on the viral load. If the Wg is aware of her HIV status, then she would also be under treatment in which case viral load will be low and even undetectable. That means chances of contracting HIV for a vaginal intercourse with condom is zero and without condom is pretty much zero. The problem is when Wg is not aware of her HIV status. The second scenario is high in places like Bangalore because most (particularly uneducated, low ends) don't get themselves tested regulatory. Even in the second scenario, chances of HIV for a vaginal intercourse without condom is very low and with condom is very very low.

So it is safe to assume that the chances of a monger contracting HIV "if he follows safe practice" and even if he is not aware of the HIV status of the WG is lower than him getting killed in a road accident. That said, always follow safe practice. Wear condom every time. Generally inspect the WG private parts for any abnormal signs. I avoid DATY, Anal but that's up to you. Check if the condom is intact till the end. If the condom breaks, go for PEP course for peace of mind. Its cheap and safe.
