That's an odd reaction. I have been to regular spas all over the world. Men (and women) wearing white robes is quite standard.

It's a very small price to pay to enjoy 4 x4. I would wear a pink bunny suit if it was required to hang out with the 4 x4 girls.

I was going to go to the Dominican for my birthday in May but I've decided to go to Rio instead. I will be going through this forum to get as much advice and info as possible. Any suggestions and info you can give me is much appreciated. I will also find a way to become a VIP member (its a lot harder now LOL) so I can chat with the experts. Some additional info (from my December 2018 visits):

1) The 30 real entrance fee is consumable;.

2) You can remain in street clothes;.

3) The fourth floor bar is where the live band plays;.

4) The third floor bar has an enclosed smoking area.

Not sure why you chose this place, when Cancun and 4 X4 are generally acknowledged to be better and are literally around the corner, if this was going to be your only Rio experience.

Snip.- Now for the goods. The only place I visited was the sauna club Whiskeria 65 http://whiskeria65.com.br/inicio/.

Address: Rosario 65 - it's steps away from the ferry terminal and the few very busy streets. I walked there and away. But it was at 5 pm and 7 pm so it was daylight and the streets were full of people. Any later and it would have been Uber both ways.

The building has a sign, no problem at all to find.

Hours: 5 pm - 1 am.

Cost: 30 real to enter, then there are charges for each girl.

NOTE: the credit card costs are much much higher than cash.

30 minutes: cash 180, card 216.

40 minutes: cash 190, card 228.

1 hour: cash 250, card 300.

The front desk girl did not speak any English, but she was amenable to using google translate.

She took me on a little tour and explained everything.

When you check in, you get a locker key with a number. That number is used as your tab; you will pay for everything as you exit.

In the locker room get naked, put on a bath robe (provided) and grab a towel.

Go to the next floor for a shower and sauna.

Then 3rd and 4th floors are 2 bars (I wasn't sure what's the difference, there are girls in both).

5 and 6 are rooms.Snip.

- Rio de Janeiro gives a vibe of being much sketchier than Sao Paulo. I didn't get mugged or robbed, nothing got stolen. But it just feels sketchier. However, in general it's safe as long as you don't go into bad neighborhoods or empty streets. I was either in the city center (Carioca, Cinelandia, etc) or Copacobana / Ipanema (the beaches) - the areas I was in were usually somewhat crowded, so I was fine. But I have a feeling that if I saw a group of idle-looking kids on an empty street, I'd be tempted to just run away, possibly leaving my flip flops behind. Maybe it's just me being paranoid.

- The sights. The national history museum is cute, the naval museum has several scale replicas of the old sail ships, obviously the Jesus statue has a nice view and the cog train ride is entertaining, also a ferry ride to Niteroi (across the gulf from Rio) has great views (sunset time is the best) and is nearly free (2 or 3 reals round trip). There are several "free" walking tours. I found taking one of those early on a great way to get the feel of a new city.

- Transportation. Uber, if it gets expensive due to surge pricing (can jump from 10 real to 30+ real in a heartbeat) then tram or subway (either are supposed to be safe, are air conditioned, and cost less than 4 reals. Santos Dumont airport is literally downtown, it's 3 stops by tram or 7-8 minutes by uber. But I wouldn't walk to and from it.

Obviously we had to get a room. I'll spare you the gory details (in my case they are rather plain. GFE, BBBJ, cuddling, mish, cuddling, BBBJ, CIM) overall my beloved girl-next-door experience. The 40-minute phone ring came when we were still a wee busy, so she took off the rubber and used her wonderful tongue to get the job done so that I wouldn't leave with a hard on.

Overall, I wouldn't go to Rio again unless someone paid me to do so. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. But if I am in Rio, this club is a valid option.
