Bro, this news has created panic across all major cities and many mongers are worried for same reason that what will happen to the privacy.

But one thing to be kept in mind is that whenever we have go to any hotel, whether it is oyo or not, the LE people do come and see the guest register.

But in case of any real time data sharing, it will be similar to the earlier method of providing the data to LE for record keeping.

Don't you think it happen only in India or not elsewhere. It happen in other advanced countries also, but this concept sounds like new to our country.

It happens in some of the leading European countries also and its part of the normal protocol to be followed.

Now the question is do we have to worry, I don't think with the Supreme court order of Right to privacy which mentions that two consenting adults have the right to spend their time in privacy, the LE has any business in knowing what is going inside the room. All they would know is certain xyz is staying in some room. They don't have the right to know what is going inside the room. So in my view we don't need to worry too much about the oyo data sharing policy. Even if one want to be safe, he can book two rooms, one in name of himself and other with the name of the girl, so that raises zero suspicion to anyone.

Time and again it is being made to feel that LE in our country has nothing else to do rather than hunting for adult individuals who have their right to privacy.

All said and done, LE can't do shit until they catch you in he hotel, which most hotels will themselves make sure never happens. If any LE bothers you, straight up record the conversation and get a lawyer.
