This is a great post. Very logical and correct. There is however a different purpose to discussing prices here. It is to let people know that mongering is not uncommon and provide a ball park figure on what newbies should be spending. Money discussions are hence important and an integral part of ISG.

Just pointing out that going to Thailand and fucking many hot babes for less amount also includes.

- applying for leave from your office.

- cooking up a story to colleagues of going to see a relative who is unwell.

- cooking up a bigger story at home. If you have a wife you are then fucked proper.

- always being tense that in case your colleagues or relatives call accidentally on your phone, your lies will be open because they will get to hear a Thai voice from the telecom company saying whatever.

- spending sleepless nights how you will not have any pictures of your 'missing days' to who friends, relatives. If there is wife you are proper fucked!

- spending on Foreign Exchange. (the super smart mongers I have referred to in my opening line should know that INR cannot work in Thailand).

- spending on flight tickets.

- spending on going to the airports and back.

- hoping an office colleague or no one you know see you at the Kempegowda airport that day.

- spending on 3 meals, on every snack, etc in Thailand.

- paying for accommodation for every day of stay.

- having the Thai entry stamp on your passport and then worrying about how to conceal it for the rest of your life.

- and probably 20 other reasons which those super smart mongers referred above will not be able to think about. They can only think as far as 'just add 10 K more'.

The other song sung frequently in the same tune is "We are going to Delhi NCR. Ow. Ow. ". Here too the above factors apply, except for visa fees, passport stamp and foreign exchange buying.

So next tie you are tempted to be super smart and sing one of these songs, think first. If we are mongering in Bengaluru, let us focus on how to make this a better mongering playground rather than throw in foolish suggestions. Going out of Bengaluru just to monger is an option maybe for only 2% mongers. And for others (maybe 10-13%) only when their work takes them to that city or country.
