I had visited Mizmar Spa in Bandra last month for the first time after it had very good reviews here. I had taken membership package of Rs 5600 for 5 massages since the average cost came out to be Rs 1100 which I found to be cheap as I usually pay between 1500 - 2000 for massages.

Yesterday was my 4th visit there. But when I went there, they said that I had already gone there 4 times and that it was my last visit. Even after lot of argument they refused to accept their mistake. They showed me entry they made in excel and register which was wrong because I did not go there 4th time. Afterwards they told me that they will give me one complimentary massage if I renew the membership with them.

So then I understood that it was a trap to buy me / renew my membership so that they can again take Rs 5600 for me. And if I did not renew my membership then they would effectively be getting Rs 5600 for 4 massages which is Rs 1400 which is almost the same rate at other MPs so no benefit of membership.

I told them that there is no question of renewing my membership after such fraudulent activity by them of falsely entering date and time in register and I am happy to miss out on one massage than renew my membership. Even after I left the spa after arguing with them, they still called me to take membership and also whatsapped me. I am attaching the screenshot of whatsapp chat here.

So my advise to anyone who currently has a membership to accurately note your date and time and also maybe sign in register so that they cannot play tricks on you.

On my first visit I did not find anything special about Mizmar spa. The therapists quote higher price for same service which you get cheaper anyplace else. If I would not have taken membership, I would not have gone there more than once. The only reason I took membership was because Rs 5600 for 5 massages. Avg Rs 1100 for each massage was cheap since I usually pay Rs 1500 for a massage. But in the end I ended up paying the same amount of Rs 1400 each for 4 massages. However money is not an issue. I could not believe they will do something like this just to make me renew my membership.

So in future be careful guys.
