Nothing new. You can see dozens of similar FRs about Kamathipura, some more than a decade old, right here on this forum.

I guess it's their Modus Operandi. Lure a guy from the street into their den and later snatch all the currency. This happens in other Red light areas of India also.

Solution is to carry limited amount of cash like 500/1000 while venturing into these places. Also multiple visits and walking directly into the brothel helps.
