I am in touch with Indie F in Mumbai whom I recently met. She has suggested 3 some along with one of her friends. I wanted to meet her friend alone before going for 3 some however there is some kind of resistance from India F saying that her friend is new & won't meet alone. She has shared the pic of this friend as attached which looks familiar. I might have seen her picture in this forum. While Indie F is good, I don't want to take risk of 3 some unless I have some review of her friend. I think Indie F is bullshitting that her friend is new & won't meet alone.

Is it okay not to register even if the guest is staying for overnight? Not registering should be okay for few hours meet but for overnight stay in a room booked for double occupancy and just one guest registered is that okay?

You don't need to. Just that you need to be sure of double booking in case someone asks.

I prefer to not register. Ask them to meet you at a restaurant or outside the lobby. Then from there accompany them to the room. Has worked for me always apart from one time. However as a backup always book double occupancy. Worst case you can get her registered. Generally in five stars no one wants to mess with you. Just do not make too much eye contact with the large amount of staff at the hotel. You should be fine.

Hope you have booked double. While checking in itself please get reasonably friendly with check in staff and re-emphasise / re-confirm your "double booking". You can even mention 2nd guest will be coming in latter and if staff ask tell them you will give the 2nd ID as soon as the 2nd guest comes in. - That usually is accepted by the "friendly staff".

Hello fellow mongers.

I am getting ready to monger in Mumbai soon. I have booked my hotel and narrowing down on my choices.

Hotel is a 5* property by the airport.

Now I understand that India is very conservative when it comes to mongering so I am asking my fellow mongers what is the best way to get the girl to the room.

I want to keep my privacy so will not give out my name.

In my mongering arena, I am just used to giving my room number to the lady / agency and wait for the knock but things in India are different from what I gather.

I am thinking of meeting my lady at the restaurant or bar and giving the room number or room key.
