I agree with you on this. I work in Travel and Tourism industry so I can vouch for a fact that many are going to lose their jobs and the situation is not expected to improve. The Indication here is many in the Airline industry, especially Cabin crew are going to have a tough time.

Frankly, this 'break' seems like once in a lifetime opportunity for pulling down the prices. Not everyone needs to participate even. If only a critical mass of 30-35 percent of us bring down their prices by 10-20 percent for three weeks in a row and everyone else just hold on to the earlier prices, it should have the desired effect!

Alas! The more difficult part I think is for the larger chunk of our population to stick to the earlier prices because inevitably the demand is going to skyrocket immediately after lockdown ends while patience will be running thin. They will give in to seller's extortionist tactics and demands. If this happens, there is very real risk of prices drastically increasing (forever!) after the covid storm blows over.
