Firstly, are hotels offering rooms till 30 June. I've spoken to a few hotels and they categorically mentioned a few things which include- Officially, Hotels cannot accept any bookings till 30th of this month in Delhi. However there are certain relaxations to hotels around Aerocity to accept transient guests for a day or two. Also a few other star hotels across Delhi. Who are already hosting guests (probably most of them foreigners & Doctors who are now staying in most hotels away from their families) are accepting bookings randomly. They have a few restrictions though. No restaurants (only in room dining), no swimming pools / spas / gyms would be open. And yet their rates haven't been reduced given that these amenities aren't accessible to guests. A declaration form needs to be filled at the reception by all guests. Which probably includes details of past travel. Medical conditions / ailments and further travel. One of the hotels even mentioned that local residents of Delhi are prohibited and may not be allowed in the premises.

That would definitely be a bummer. Right?

A silver lining of course came with the news that hotels across Gurgaon and Noida are however not following such directives.

What I wish to clear my mind on is how true or effectively are these orders being followed. Has anyone recently stayed in any hotels across NCR?

How much privacy would be compromised while we mention details in the self declaration form??

Hope for some clarity on these matters.

I've been in touch with quite a few profiles on SA. I'd like to close on a good deal provided the accommodation part is confirmed without much hassle. I'm sure none of us would want contact tracing to bite us in our back at a later stage. LOL!

I have observed asking rates going up in some cases, ideally should not the rates be going down due to shortage in demand? Or probably just the opposite as WG demand more to take that extra risk during prevailing Pandemic. Can someone throw light on this and help in comprehending whether we should try to have a unified opinion on this. Risk is a different subject and it's a personal choice I guess.
