When I was in Mombasa earlier this year I had no issues getting generic tadalafil (1000 kes for 4 x 20 MG). They sell the the brand name version too, if you want. Just write what you want on a piece of paper and hand it to the pharmacist. No weird looks or anything. But maybe it depends which pharmacy you go to. I normally use the one on the right of the main road from Mombasa to Bamburi, just before Bamburi junction.

But yes, maybe better to bring your own. I never had anything checked by customs. And I'm sure kitu kidogo would most likely solve any issues.

There are three places that you could visit in my opinion, Mombasa, Uganda capital Kampala and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Mombasa is easiest to visit, and I would recommend that most. Spend longer time in North Coast, and couple of days in South Coast / Diani.

Uganda and Dar es Salaam, you can make a round trip.

You have a lot of research to do if you visit any of these places, flights, visas, hotels, places to go, etc. Each of these places have their own forum.

I personally like much more Mombasa than Nairobi, Nairobi is just for hanging in bars. Mombasa has beach and ocean at least, and warmer climate. Maybe you will move to Mombasa after you get tired of Nairobi. If you have some work or business to run in Nairobi, that is different.

I've just returned from Nairobi, I've lived on and off there and Mombasa the last 20 years. It is thought the current 10 pm closing of bars for the 11 pm curfew will last 60 days, around 55 days from today, though it may open up fully sooner I think to get the economy moving.

Badoo and tinder have been the way to go the last few years for me as I am not one for clubs. If I do a club I just grab something from Black Diamond or one of noisy bars in town. Also you have to have the balls to just approach anyone you see, sometimes it works sometimes not.

The main thing is take them for a drink or a bite to eat, if you like them make it clear what you want and bow much you will give them.
