1. Pay and convince someone to get you a sim card on his ID. Very difficult.

2. What I do: Have a whatsapp account setup with a US number that I got from google voice. Cost incurred: Zero. Downside: Only whatsapp works. Cannot do normal calls or contact those SP / Indies who are not on whatsapp.

3. Whatsapp and telegram groups who claim to send you an activated sim without taking any ID proof: Stay away! You never know for what purpose have they used this sim card earlier.

Were you in US while you got your google voice number setup? Or is it possible to set it up from India without anyone's help who is in US (friend or anyone)?

Not this branch, but been to O2 at a couple of other mall locations.

Extras were completely ZERO.

Per suggestion from a fellow monger visited spa on top floor of a hotel on doboold road.

That forum was closed long back. The admin used to remove members if they are inactive (like my case after I moved to states). When I contacted him to rejoin, he told me that some angry monger complained as he was removed and the site was closed. They have apparently moved to some mobile app platform. I lost the message and the app name as I mistakenly cleared by inbox fully.

May be someone else could help you.
