My experience base after living in Medellin for three years straight up until the Pandemic is very different than yours, yet from my experience here, I can totally confirm what you are saying, and have never seen a post like yours so succinctly summing up reality here, albeit it won't matter to most.

I hope this quantification helps people realize that they need to decline the offered US $-COP conversion.
