Posts: 1660I was looking at my bank account yesterday and saw that it had been deposited as well. Didn't plan on having the money but I might head to Cartagena and Santa Marta over the next week to get out of all this rain in Medellin so the stimulus should ease my mind about some of the lobster dinners I plan on having because I've heard Santa Marta can be pricey.

Posts: 18164February last year when I was in Medellin I reported about meeting a Venezuelan one in Parque Botero that was offering her services. Actually I think she was a candy girl and not a coffee girl. I got her whatsapp but never followed up. Why do you assume that because someone sells coffee they should be selling pussy too? I am not seeing the correlation.

Posts: 1660Doesn't seem like you know much about them or have even talked to them to form any kind of real opinion.

Algo Mas, and she will kindly tell you what else she has to sell, and if you want to know at what price, ask her "Algo Mas why cuanto cuesta! Meaning, what else are you selling and how much. Pollo Negro is out!

Posts: 3802Coffee Girls versus Candy Girls
There are coffee girls everywhere you look, and I have approached one, once, but ratos weren't on the Menu This is an area that I want to explore because I have seen some coffee girls I want to do.

The difference between the candy girls and the coffee girls is that they actually have to prepare a product versus buy a bunch of candies and put in a box.
Given that there is some effort to be a coffee girl versus a candy girl who only has to spread their legs, I suspect very few of them do Rato's, but I'm going to pursue it.
Just another un-tapped market in El Centro to be mined!

Posts: 25Any action with the coffee girls?
I tried to do some searching but not much came up with the exception of one report. Does no one in here monger with the coffee girls? I haven't read much about them in this topic, but I find it hard to believe that all of those chicas are just selling coffee. Any success with them? What's the pricing like to get them to your place? Are the typically willing to go to your place or do they usually want to stay at the hotels in the area like the other centro work? I believe they work in parque berrio. Correct me if wrong.

One of my connecting flights from Europe got cancelled, so I took that opportunity to bring trip forward by 2 weeks when the airline gave me the chance to rebook the entire trip.
Anyway on my to do list when I get there is to find an El Centro girl that will do anal but I am not entirely sure how to ask for that in Spanish. Now I am doing daily Spanish lessons and when I think about it in my mind it would be like this "Puedes hacer anal? But things are not always that literal in different languages, perhaps there is a particular phrase?
Can somebody please confirm how to ask a girl for anal or if my assumption is correct?
By the way slightly off topic but if anybody will be in the position I was in on my first trip a few months ago when I could barely put a few words together and wants to learn Spanish I recommend Baselang, especially if you have a lot of time on your hands before your trip. Its only $149 for a month with a curriculum and as many one to one Spanish lessons as you want, totally unlimited with some really good teachers available. I have a few regular Colombian teachers, female of course, who are extremely good. They also have a school in Medellin which is quite popular. I don't have any affiliation with them at all and just putting this out there in case it helps someone.

I think what you did was great and shows you can keep your head under moments of extreme stress. Assuming they are not smart enough to realize they have been scammed and run you down. At age 75, pretty sure they could come back at you even with a good head start, jaja. I would add that your same technique would work with whatever you are carrying in your pocket. Not getting stabbed over the difference between fake money and what you have in your pants pocket is not worth it. I carry a separate wad of COP in my pants for what you said. Also, this technique has been around in the United States forever, as the psychology of most of these types of thugs is the same, they will go for the quick money and forget about you in a heartbeat.

For me there's a before the pandemic and after perspective. Before I'd walk between the casas during the day, and maybe a little early at night if going a short distance, like from a bar near Parque Bolivar down Junin and over to Calle 53 and one of the strip clubs. Even still taxi is the best way to go at night. After the pandemic I plan to do very little day walking in Centro, probably only between nearby casas. That's because it only makes since that there's more desperados around, and those who were already desperate are even more so. Plus it's become normal to see people walking around wearing masks, and that's a perfect fit for thieves. Also I stay in touch with some people that live in Medellin, both gringo and Colombian, and I have reliable intelligence that the dangers have significantly increased.

Posts: 1643Easiest Way To Get A Copy Of Your Passport
When you check into your hotel they always make a copy, always black and white that I have seen. Never been asked for a color copy anywhere, including by the Policia, but color looks nicer or if you have a reason. Anywho, simple matter to ask the desk clerk when she is already making one copy to make two. Usually they don't charge or maybe 2 mil COP, something cheap like that. Works every time. If you don't speak Spanish pull it up on your phone ahead of time. I have them put the picture page on one side and the stamp page on the other side.
