I'm currently in California and I used my Chase credit card to pay for the items and I got an error message. I was thinking maybe it's the credit card, so I used my Colombian Bancolombia debit card instead and still got the same message. Is it because I'm in the USA and the website is not properly working like it would if I was actually in Colombia?

Try using a VPN to see if location is the difference.

Was this the antigen test or the PCR, the latter is I think more sensitive, and perhaps you best confirm with one before subjecting yourself to the quarantine from a false positive, as you said no vaccine is 100% effective but at least with respect to avoiding hospitalization and death it's pretty close to that. Also since you are vaccinated you may clear this faster than most, so retesting in 5-7 days is not unreasonable I would think, particularly if you don't have symptoms.

This literally is my big concern about travel there at this time where it's running rampant. It can easily ruin return travel plans.

It was the antigen test. I have enough symptoms now that I'm pretty sure it's not a false positive. I plan on getting retested in 5-7 days and hoping for the best.

I tried to order a washer and fridge online on the Colombian Homecenter website to have it delivered to my apartment right when I arrive in 3 weeks. I plan on ordering all the big ticket items (furniture, mattress / bed frame, dining table / chairs) online and in advance of my trip so that when I land, the stuff will arrive within days of each other. I already booked a cheap place nearby for a few days while I gradually furnish the new apartment. BTW, lots of affordable stuff online through the Exito and Homecenter pages. I might even try to open an Exito credit card to get the extra discounts, but probably not since that process could be a hassle.

Just got my Covid test results for my return to the US. Positive.

Although I don't feel terrible, having to stay in a hotel room for 1 to 2 weeks isn't my idea of a good time.

My cheap go to, 24 HR, Braza Pan behind Nutibara Hotel on the corner next to the Metro? (corner of Maracaibo & Bolivar).

My cheap seafood across from the SW corner of Parque Bolivar, Ostras Marbella? (Calle 54 & Carr 49).

My fav breakfast place on Carr 49, walking street Paseo Junin, Versalles Restaurante why Pasteleria?

And my fav higher end food in Centro:

Hacienda. Junin?

Cafe Colombo Credenza?

I think I already heard Botanko Bistro (next to Casa New Life) closed.

Also if they reopen Hotel Botero let me know! Will do Hotel Nutibara otherwise but I love the top floors in the Botero facing west, great view, good breeze and less noise up high.

Versalles is open don't know about any of the rest of them.

I landed 2 days ago on pussyland and has been amazing so far.

Little context, it's my second time here, speak native Spanish, know the ways around Colombia and hopefully look Latino. First time it was all about parque Lleras and some Facebook and didn't work out really well as I got the junky kind of type of girls out of facebook. These girls are all about the tussi and would not give a good service, all they want is to buy them some more tussi and keep going.

I'll be there in a little over 2 weeks, so I am working on building my Facebook list now. Thanks so much for the hot leads with pricing and details! It really simplifies it for someone like me! I appreciate it, and I look forward to your future updates!

Just got my Covid test results for my return to the US. Positive. I'm currently in quarantine at a hotel in Bogota. I've already informed everyone I was in close contact with, fortunately a small number of people.

For the record, I received my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the end of March. Before all the conspiracy theorists get started, the Pfizer vaccine is only 95% effective at preventing infection. Also due to some of my medications, my immune system is compromised.

As I noted before, I have been feeling pretty run down this entire trip. It is possible I was infected before I got here, and it's possible I was infected after arrival. At this point it's unknown.

Although I don't feel terrible, having to stay in a hotel room for 1 to 2 weeks isn't my idea of a good time.

This is very disheartening to hear about. Hopefully you will find a Doctor in Bogota that can deem you cured and / or non-contagious in a short period of time allowing you to return. I got my second dose of the Moderna vaccine in February and upon returning to Medellin I was like a dog in heat riding the Metro when jam packed and banging away at ground zero in all the Love motels.

For me returning to the USA about ten days ago it was a sigh of relief getting a negative test result, and I would of freaked out if I had tested positive, and besides being stuck in Colombia I can only imagine the grief it must be casuing you at home.

For guys who have not been vaccinated, I strongly advise against coming to Medellin right now. I know there are some other BM's that are going to cry foul on this, but right now Colombia is surging with more daily infections than ever before, along with the new 'variants' which are wrecking havoc in other Countries, even those with high vaccination rates.

And who knows, there might even be more lockdowns, and I hope not. I'm looking at returning in a few weeks but if they start that again I'm not coming.

Any additional information you can share on what you have to do / go through to be allowed to re-enter the USA would be appreciated by all because your not the only one who's going to be in the same predicament, and hell, it might even be me next.

First time here. Did zero prep work. Don't speak a word of Spanish. I didn't realize how fucked I was until the immigration officer said something in half English and I could not understand until she wrote it down on paper. I'm in a hotel next to parque Lleras for the night. Just getting my bearings and getting some rest after a long flight. Tomorrow I'm checking into the mansion for several days. Will I be alright there or should I learn some basic Spanish? Also, any good casual restaurant recommendation near parque Lleras?

Make a left walk a couple blocks stay on left hand side of the street look for a bunch of moto bikes parked on the curb a good pizza spot, or lots of other restos in the area.

Its Sunday night try the woman with the crepe cart across from Gustos, get the pollo jamon queso and crema, if you're famished get 2 they are awesome!
