As a general input, no hotel in Bangalore or any other big city cares why you rent the room, as long as all occupants register with their IDs. No hotel bothers if its a local ID too. I could have a local ID, but living elsewhere for work and visiting back, or living in a hotel in the same city for a few days for many reasons (paint job / renovation / special event related / domestic issues etc etc). Hotels want business and they don't care.
