My dear friend, there is no scrutiny from the bank's side. It's your money and you are free to spend it on dating apps. Bank will not ask you questions regarding that. The problem is with payment processor at SA's end, as it's not enabled for OTP transactions, which is mandatory in India. Just write to them and they will fix it. You can also try to use a different card, from a different bank and also call your bank to unblock the transaction, as some banks do block the transactions if they are not sure about the payment processor at the other end or if it's not a trusted one. Once your payment goes through, please make sure that you disable the auto-renewal option in SA. Happy hunting bro.

Cards like Amex, Diners are not accepted. But they do accept local Visa cards. There is no scrutiny from banks as such but due to restriction from RBI on auto debits cards if you use an AMEX card the site can't do auto renewal and hence they don't accept these cards.

I am using the AMEX and I had no issue. My AMEX is issued in US and I think that will not make any difference.

Most banks allow creating VCC. Virtual Credit Card. Load money and purchase and then destroy the card, remaining money comes to your bank account. Or use online vcc providers if in doubt.

I do via HDFC VCC.

I did not have any problem anywhere so far in Delhi. Have been to 30-40 small nd big hotels. If you will book for 2 and will give them ID mostly they will welcome you. But just to be on safer side you can see if hotel is couple friendly or not.
