Once TG ID is received, they will not message you or respond to your message on SA. Do not know what is going on but that is my experience lately.

When you share your number you open yourself up for blackmail later. Trucaller will show your name. Many of us have professional profiles that cannot be hidden in a google search.

Bribing a low level guy in the phone co can give your (SIM owner) name, address and location. There may also be a cop who is part of the scam, suggesting that you pay up to avoid harassment.
