It has been remodeled and is one of the older hotels in Barranquilla but the rooms are awesome. The restaurant and pool are on the roof, they are chica friendly but sometimes you have to pay for the option. If you register for 2 from the get-go it want be a problem. I have had several at one time and not a peep out of them although I do tip the manager for the privilege.

It has balconies that are very small but they have 2 chairs and a small table outside. Much green has been consumed on them from my perspective. I aslo might be able to help out with that issue if need be.

It depends on personal preference, but fewer girls with the Paisa skinny, but medium height build, medium breasts, and long dark hair. There was a little more variety in Barranquilla with curly hair, skinny and curvier women, more brown and green eyes, etc. Less homogeneous than Medellin.

There is likely more difference, but I didn't see as much in Alto Prado where I spent the most time.

I also found that more people here speak basic English (the universities or being a port town I guess) and are more interested in practicing. I had my best luck using Seeking Arrangement, Bumble, and some Tinder. You can find some really hot girls and there are some nice restaurants around Alto Prado. Prices similar to Cali which I found to be less than Medellin. For looks, I haven't seen as much of the Afro influence, but there is more of the middle eastern and exotic look present. Many of the most famous Colombian women are from Barranquilla (e. G. Shakira, Sofia Vergara).

So from what I am reading on this thread, Barranquilla is not really worth it. It is hot and boring during the day and no brothel open; casas are far away from each other; no street girls; although prices seem reasonable, it is no match to Medellin, Bogota or Cali.

My information is dated, but I was in and out of Barranquilla over a two week period about five years ago. Many, many casas (I went to one). Saw SW'ers in several places (mostly, at a park near the Olympic stadium), many clubs with brothels attached -- they're all well documented. I think the brothels / casas kind of move around, go in and out of business. Kind of a hot, flat, spread out city, but has some nice areas. I had two memorable trysts there, one with a very pretty, 19 yo universitaria. The other with a 24 yo pharmacist from Caracas. Not a destination, except during Carnaval when it is apparently off the hook.
