Are they just space fillers, or is it real mentorship, or is it expectation to help them ride the corporate ladder. ?

Also, girls seem to have a gift wishlist. Do people (in India) really buy these gifts for them even when you're paying 15 k-20 k for short?

Ignore the gift wishlist. I don't think it even works in India, nor is it expected that gifts will be purchased.

Investor is code for giving them a lumpsum to finance whatever story they come up with.

Some are indeed looking for mentors, but that's over and above the agreed allowance. If for E. G. You can help with an internship or recommendation, they might be flexible with expected allowance.

One of a new joinee in my office was listed in SA, or so I felt when I saw her for the first time in the office (I can no longer see her profile, looks like she has blocked me).

There is no way I can now approach her, without mentioning SA to her. We had previously chatted on SA few months back when she had not joined my office. We had exchanges some pics (but I do not recall her face 100%.

Do you recommend I should approach her? The only risk (and a big one) is these ugly POSH rules which are so stringent in these IT companies, and I do not want to get myself trapped in that shithole.

Any advice on how (and if) I should approach this bird?
